Family friendly, comfy deck, and great location

Great for kids and family. Loved the jacuzzi. Only thing is going up and down the wet stairs was a challenge. Nice. Would stay again.

Okay Accomadations

We stayed here the week of Labor Day. It was a total of 4 adults and 5 kids. 2 of which were infants. I would say our accomadations were okay. It was a place to stay that had beds and running water. The fridge was leaking on our first night. Water was leaking from the freezer into the fridge which caused there to be a huge layer of ice in the freezer and a lot of water all over our groceries. There was also not a kitchen trash can. Both issues were reported and fixed the same day. Pros about the place is that it did have a pool. That was nice after going to the beach to relax in. Also the furniture I thought was nice. Cons: tile all throughout the complex which was VERY slippery. It was two story which I would not say is family friendly with small kiddos. (I should've not booked for this reason) There was a piece of wood out on the little patio that had cracked and almost broken that was being held together by one screw. Not a smart fix in my opinion since the wood would have been better off fully replaced for probably $1.50. Bottom floor of place was not as cool as top floor. We had the bottom room so night time was hard to sleep. Beds are not the comfiest and the sheets are scratchy feeling. Kitchen has bare minimum supplies! Tried to find a peeler and had no luck. Limited seating but complex is kind of long rather than wide making it hard to place furniture in there. (Reference website pics) Overall, I would not stay here again even if it was just adults for our next trip. Main reason being the slippery floors and temperature difference on both floors. I would not recommend to anyone with toddlers and babies.

Overall, had a great time!

Outside was ok, too far to walk to beach in the heat with children, but the description said otherwise. .. that's my only concern.

The floors are also extremely slippery with sandals or flip flops on, I'd suggest new tile with some texture at some point. Nice place overall though.

Upon arrival please check in with Padre Island Rentals 24 hour reception desk at 3100 Padre Blvd. on the corner of Padre Blvd. & Kingfish St. Our office is 1.75 miles north of the causeway and one block north of the Blue Marlin IGA supermarket.

After checking in and receiving your keys:

Driving directions (Marlin Cottage #7) 102 E Marlin # 7, South Padre Island, TX 78597

0.0 mi ? about 1 minute (8 blocks)

From our office at 3100 E Kingfish St.

1. Head south on Padre Blvd St. toward the Bridge. (8 Blocks)

2. Turn left at East Marlin St.

3.Destination will be on the left hand side.

4. Enter courtyard through the main entrance and turn left. Door marked 108 / 107 will be second to the end. Your key ring will have two sets of keys, one marked up and another marked down. You will use the down key to enter the stair well. The door to Marlin 7 (door marked 107) will be at the top of the stairs.
