Andrew Lofland purchased this Studio in 2010
Why Andrew Lofland chose Downtown
This was a great project to renovate a beautiful turn-of-the century Victorian. We knew that the location just step from downtown would be ideal for vacationers.
What makes this Studio unique
Just walking distance to restaurants, nightclubs, cafes and shops. This price is most affordable in all of Colorado Springs. Very convenient to all the major sites of Colorado Springs.

Perfect from the room to the location
We had a great time staying here! We only saw the innkeeper one time (i think) so we never had a chance to ask about the use the kitchen area (or even know where it was located- we didn’t want to just roam and open random doors obviously). She was very prompt to respond to texts when we mentioned something became wrong with our outside door on the second night and it was fixed within 2 or 3 hours. The location is amazing for sight seeing- 10 min to garden of the gods or manitou springs and only a little over an hour to Denver and Mountain View’s from the windows.
The room is cute and I loved that we had our own side enterance. The foam bed mattress was soooo comfy for us. The only thing i was kind of surprised by was that the rules they leave on the dresser states to clean up and take out your own trash when leaving and to leave it “exactly as you found it”. I found this odd since the online room description states “The nightly rate includes ALL fees, taxes, CLEANING, internet and private off-street parking.“ I think I just expected more of a “service” with the room from having it advertised with the “in-house innkeeper” but that didn’t seem to be the case! The bathroom door also doesn’t shut very easily/well so you have to give it a good hard shut to get it to not pop open on you, but overall we enjoyed our stay despite the little surprises we didn’t expect regarding it! The location and price made it worth it for sure though!
great place for the price
considering the price, it was a great place to stay. however, the rear of the house could use some sprucing up, the shower area was very small and the bathroom floor ended up wet, doors need updating, the closet smelled very "old house" musty so I did not put my clothes in the closet, not many tv stations so nothing to watch, could use some sort of clock in the room, and the drape over the ac window is too long to close the drape at night w/o covering the ac unit and sucking into the unit - wood blinds like all the other windows is definitely needed. I never saw the housekeeper and would have liked to heat my water in the morning for tea but didn't want to use the kitchen w/o approval (I don't use microwaves for anything!) - I was out the door at 6:15 ea morning and back after 9pm ea night. Aside from those things I had a very quiet stay and have to say for the price it was definitely worth the stay.
Great location, friendly innkeeper
Our stay was very pleasant - Jackie, the innkeeper, was very welcoming and friendly. Our room had a view of the mountains and was spacious and clean. The old world charm was so fun! They had complimentary breakfast goods available each morning ~ coffee, bagels, toast, etc. The only thing that was disappointing was the advertisement in the listing of laundry being available to guests, and it being 420 friendly. When we arrived, the rules mentioned no laundry and no smoking of any kind. We don’t smoke, so that wasn’t an issue, but the lack of laundry was a pretty big drawback considering we packed for that useage. Other than that, it was a great stay and we would return! Colorado Springs was a great town with SO many fun things to do.
Excellent Location & Adorable Home
We loved staying here. The location was amazingly close to everything downtown. The house was clean, and the lady who worked there was super helpful and very sweet. We also loved the little snacks and breakfast options- an unexpected surprise! 😊😊
Charming and relaxing, clean and comfortable
Our suite in this charming old Victorian home made for a great little getaway that didn’t break the bank. Yeah, it’s an old house, so there are things that need some touching up – a little paint here, a little repair there, and such. But the place is clean, comfortable, typically quiet, and in a pleasant and convenient (and safe) location. It felt like home!
The bed was comfy and the room was very clean. It has a newer private bathroom with a relaxing rainfall shower. The”kitchenette” is a sink, mini-fridge, and a microwave, so that really isn’t a huge perk. They provide some basic but tasty breakfast and snack items (the coffee and tea selections are great). It is an easy walk to some good restaurants and shopping in a safe, eclectic, laid-back neighborhood. The Inn has pretty easy access to I-25 and US 24, and the area doesn't have anywhere near the traffic, noise, and congestion that you would expect in or near a downtown area. It was shockingly quiet and easy going.
The TV selection isn’t great - local HD channels only, and not always great reception, but if you’re visiting Colorado and you base a decision on how good the TV is, you’re doing Colorado wrong. If there were any real issues with our room, it would have been the lack of blinds on the window. It had a curtain, but it covered the AC unit, so we had to employ some creative folding and clothespin use to cover the window and keep the AC flowing.
Be aware that it is a cannabis-friendly property, with smoking allowed up on the third floor in a special room provided for the purpose. The smell does not drift to other parts of the building, so you don't have to worry about that if partaking isn't for you. If it is for you, the room provides a comfy place to enjoy it while socializing. There were a number of accessories in the room for guests to use if they wish.
The owner was was very easy to work with regarding the transaction and with answering questions. The on-site caretaker was a wonderful, sweet lady. Every guest we met there was friendly and courteous.
Bottom line – if you can do without extra amenities and you’re looking for a clean and comfy place in a convenient location that won’t cost a fortune, book a suite here. It's not perfect. It's not a palace. But it provided a fantastic stay for us.
A wonderful old house. Very neet and they have great coffee and many teas.
Thanks for making my stay so enjoyable. I was very comfortable with my own entrance and shower. The smal kitchen was limited but I kept snacks and to go goodies handy. Staff is more than helpful. I will stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks
This property is located in downtown Colorado Springs just one block from restaurants and shops. One block from a major park and one mile from highway access. Short drive to major attractions.
