Inexpensive way to enjoy the best of Colorado

This unit is located in our turn-of-the-century renovated Victorian mansion. It features a new bathroom and a convenience kitchenette. This suite is perfect for one person or a romantic couple. The nightly rate includes all fees, taxes, cleaning, internet and private off street parking. Located on the main floor, you can escape to a relaxing yard/BBQ area. Restaurants, shopping and nightlife is located only 3 minutes away by foot, One block to the back is a 40 mile trail park for biking, running or walking. Enjoy our secluded 420 friendly lounge on the third floor (21+ only), for those that choose to visit Colorado to partake in their legal cannabis. All other areas of the building are smoke free. We believe in a happy, healthy and respectful environment for all.

This was a great project to renovate a beautiful turn-of-the century Victorian. We knew that the location just step from downtown would be ideal for vacationers.

Pretty Great Place But Needs a Few Improvements

I loved my stay at your place and enjoyed meeting all the people who were working and staying there. I love Colorado Springs and I love old houses! As good as my stay was I see some areas that need improvement for safety reasons. I'm a professional home inspector and I'm always on the lookout for problems in houses I visit even if I'm not working. I stayed in the Stark room and it was charming. Having said that I was less than impressed with the shower arrangement in this room. I recommend a shower stall with a shower enclosure or a shower curtain to keep the water off of the tile (very slippery when wet!). I took one shower and water got all over the tile and walls throughout the entire bathroom. I also recommend putting up grab bars to give folks something to hold on to if they should find themselves slipping on the slippery tile. I would also recommend some sort of shelving in the shower area so that folks have a place to set their soap, shampoo, etc. while in the shower. The electrical outlet by the bathroom sink does not appear to be GFCI protected which is required in more modern homes and is a good idea in older homes even if it's grandfathered. If someone drops their electric razor or curling iron or blow dryer into the sink and it has standing water in it they could be in for a nasty shock. If you ever go to sell this place a good home inspector would write up the safety issues that I'm elaborating on in this review. Overall I loved the place and look forward to coming back for another stay. A bud and breakfast in this area of town is a great idea!

The suite was clean and the bed was comfortable. The house is very quiet.

The innkeeper was very nice and helpful. The common kitchen was well equipped. The location is perfect, only a block from restaurants and shops. The only issue that we had was that the floors are creaky and the bathroom door was squeaky, but the great price made up for those few issues. We would stay here again.

Easy to find. Parking was adequate at the back of the house. Everyone was very friendly. I was there visiting my daughter at college and she had presentations downtown which made the location perfect.

The tea, coffee bar was a nice touch.
