Space 1,438 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

This three+ bedroom, two bath home on Dabob Bay has fabulous beach!

Piper’s Retreat is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath home nestled in the woods above pristine Dabob Bay. You’ll love the tall ceilings and double-story windows which frame the views of the bay. This home calms the senses, giving you the relaxation you deserve and enjoys eastern exposure, bringing sunlight to the home throughout the day. The metal stairs to the beach have handrails and are anchored to the bluff; however they’re steep; pitch-wise, you’ll feel like you’re going up and down a ladder. Caution is advised.

Kitchen and Dining Room

Upon entering Piper’s Retreat, you’ll find a beautiful kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. This kitchen has it all with plenty of space for two cooks. The dining room is adjacent with seating for four to six.

Living Room

The living room is gorgeous with floor to ceiling, double-tall windows, flat screen TV/DVD, a comfortable sofa and two chairs. From here, stroll out on to the large deck and take in the beauty of the woods and Dabob Bay while breathing fresh clean air. It’s common to see Bald Eagles in the area.

Master Bedroom & Bath

The Master is on the opposite end of the home from the guest bedrooms and has those beautiful tall windows, a Queen sized bed, and deck access. The en-suite has two sinks, large granite counter top, and an amazing walk in tile shower.

Two Guest Bedrooms

One guest bedroom is on the water (east) side of the home and features a Queen-size bed, two side tables and captures view of the bay. The second guest bedroom is located on the west side of the home and features two twin beds. In the hallway that separates the guest bedrooms is a nice full bath.

Bonus Room

Above the living room is a loft area with a futon, TV and Xbox 360 - bring your own games and hide out in the loft.

Piper’s Retreat is located on the Bolton Peninsula which is part of the Olympic Peninsula. It’s proximity to hiking and the Olympic National Forest make this home perfect for adventure seekers or just a nice private escape. Dabob Bay is highly sought-after for its’ warm, clear waters and world-class shellfish.

About Jillian Greenwood

Windermere Hood Canal has brought excellence and professionalism to the clients we serve in the Hood Canal area for well over two decades. We had so many inquiries from people wanting to come and enjoy Hood Canal that in 2006 we launched our Vacation Rentals component. We truly love the area and all its amenities. Our home owners are all wonderful people and each has a home with its very own unique attributes.

Why Jillian Greenwood chose Hood Canal, Olympic Peninsula

This home is very clean and still has that new home feeling. The owners loved it as a personal getaway to the peninsula so it's never been lived in full-time.

As our kids have grown into teens, it's gotten harder for our family of five to get away. This beautiful home in it's serene setting provided the perfect place to unplug and reconnect. Gorgeous surroundings.

Piper's Retreat On The Olympic Peninsula!

Highly recommended

We had a wonderful week at Piper's house. It is in an incredibly quiet and serene location, with beautiful views, and the house is well-appointed. Kitchen equipment was plentiful; beds and baths were comfortable. The porch, the trees, the beach, the bay animals made for surroundings that we miss already! We didn't find the trip to the beach onerous--the staircase is quite steep, but solid. A really nice retreat.

Quiet, lovely, and peaceful

Better than the photographs! Spotless, comfortable, and serene setting. 5 ladies ranging from 30 to 70 years of age happily spent 4 nights at Piper's Retreat. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfy. View was beautiful, both of the forest and of the bay. Went through a little internet and cell phone withdrawal since there is no connection. Just had to go up the hill a little to get a cell signal. One odd thing of not much importance was the complete lack of window coverings; be forewarned if you are not a morning person. Staircase to the beach was way too challenging for us old ladies, but there are plenty of accessible other beaches nearby. Some really good restaurants close by. Just loved the serenity of the place. Saw deer and eagles. Really wished we were staying far longer.

This is a lovely house in the hilly woods, overlooking the water. The pictures don't do it justice. The house is clean, modern, and spacious with lovely living spaces and a well equipped kitchen. There is no grocery store for many miles, so bring your food with you. The rocky beach is quiet and we enjoyed watching the tide go in and out. We did not get cell phone service or internet, but there are tons of movies and video games for the technology people. The fire pit in the back was enjoyable. The windows do not have curtains or blinds because the house is surrounded by trees so the morning sun was brighter than we expected. I would definitely recommend this home.

Beautiful! Could not have found a better place to stay. The view was amazing, and we were completely satisfied with our stay. Only a few hiccups which were the grill not working properly(left burner is out), neither was the microwave. But hopefully these things will be taken care of before the next guest comes. Will probably rent this house again next year and stay a week. Cliff is very dangerous, could use some sort of fence or barrier.

Piper's Retreat is located on the Olympic Peninsula. Specifically, it's nestled in the woods above Dabob Bay on the East side of the Bolton Peninsula. As part of the Quilcene community, this home enjoys the famed Olympic Music Festival, is close by Mt. Walker hike/viewpoint, great restaurants + the 101 brewery, and scenic Highway 101. The Quilcene Village Store is a great organic grocery and gas station - they have recipes, wine tasting, and most all the basics you could need. There are three great cafe's in town and also the Olympic Timberhouse Restaurant which has wonderful four star meals. Port Townsend is a great day trip (approx. 45 minutes one way) and Rialto Beach on the Pacific Coast (via the 101 loop) is also a very doable day trip. Then come home to peace and serenity at this beautiful home and enjoy the wonders of exquisite Dabob Bay. Don't be surprised to see Bald Eagles and Blue Heron here as the bay is known to have several.
