Completely up to date charming and modern 1901 Greenlake Tangletown bunglow with covered porch to relax and view the garden. This is a stand-alone house- not an apartment, so no one is above or below you. Sleeps up to 4 people; 2 in the bedroom's queen bed and 2 in the full sized new pull out couch in the living room. Living room zones off as a separate space with a solid wood pocket door for privacy like a 2nd bedroom. Dimmable lighting plus floor and ceiling lighting creates the perfect atmosphere to meet your needs. Greenlake is a vibrant Seattle activity destination, loved for its 2.8 mile path around the lake. Leisurely strolling to avid exercising draws people in from the greater area, plus a public pool, boat rentals, children's play area, tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, basketball courts, and its close proximity to many coffee shops and unique restaurants makes this area enjoyable for all. A Walk to the Seattle Zoo and Rose gardens is only 1.3 miles.

About Mike LaVigne
Original Seattleites, my wife and I live next door to the bungalow which was originally purchased by my great grand-parents in 1924. We enjoy neighborhood walks with our dog to the lake and coffee shops, gardening and traveling.
Mike LaVigne purchased this House in 1924
Why Mike LaVigne chose Green Lake
Family History! The 1909 World's Fair at the University of Washington drew my grandfather from Michigan for his first visit west and he instantly fell in love with Seattle. He returned 15 years later in 1924 to realize his dream of moving West with his wife and 2 young children - my grandfather and great-aunt. The four of them enjoyed the bungalow for four years while they built themselves a larger home next door, where my wife and I fortunately resided for the past 20 years. Needless to say, I'm sentimentally rooted to the property and all the wonderful family memories I've experienced here. We love the character of this very quiet and charming neighborhood, plus the quick central proximity to greater Seattle. I hope you'll enjoy the property as much as we do.
What makes this House unique
100+ year old established and quiet neighborhood offers close proximity to downtown, a 2 minute walk to the lake path, and a 5-10 minute walk to funky coffee shops and wide variety of restaurants and bars. Our favorite restaurants are a 5 minute walk: fine French dining at Eva's, Sushi at Kisaku, Burgers/Beer at Elysian Brewery, and hotdogs at Diggity Dog... end with coffee or tea at Zoka (oh yes, don't forget to start your day with a vegan doughnut at Mighty-O), the list goes on!
Really lovely place
A lovely, tiny house at the back of a beautiful garden. The hosts live next door and were very friendly and non-intrusive. The house itself was charming and spotless. It had everything we needed and access to a washer and dryer, which is key. If it is available, we will definitely rent again on a future trip!
Very positive and wonderful experience.
Very well maintained, everything needed was there. A great experience. Will return.
Private. Comfortable. Well stocked. Lovely (& popular) walking trails nearby.
Very nice place to stay. Clean, comfortable & well stocked. Easy drive into Seattle to see various sights. Nice to have a quiet neighborhood away from the busy city in the evening.
The town seems very popular with nicely paved walking / cycling trails around Green Lake.
Home on Green Lake
This is just the greatest property with the most thoughtful and nicest owners. It has everything you need to feel at home and is so well appointed. The yard is full of flowers, rosemary and fountains creating a relaxing setting. The owners are available for any issues and just friendly conversation. Their dog Dottie is also a friendly companion. I was steps away from Green Lake for walking, coffee, and restaurants. I just love this place. Thank you!
Well Maintained, Everything Required, Convenient Location, Bright and Light!
We stayed in this lovely bungalow for 3 weeks. Exactly as pictured but even better. Not often do owners keep the water filters in the ice maker new and rinse aid in the dishwasher! Location perfect for a stroll around Green Lake, direct bus to Pike's Market [no parking hassle], freeway and food stores. Kitchen has everything needs to host a small dinner party [which we did]. Bed and linens very comfortable and good wifi and cable selections. We will be for sure stay here next time in Seattle. Michael and Daney friendly and great hosts! Thank you guys for sharing your grandparents home with us.
The house is fabulous!
Mike's property was in an excellent location, immaculately clean and the decor was awesome! It had everything we needed. Loved it!
