Perfect family get away.

 • 5 of 5

We love Hood River and enjoyed staying at a place where we could spread out and have the dogs. It was handy to have a full kitchen to cook in. We got lucky and woke up Christmas Eve to snow making the place so beautiful. We even did not mind that fact that the location is a few miles out of town since we split our time between the mountains and town. We will be back.

Disgusting and filthy!!!

 • 1 of 5

We booked this house to spend Thanksgiving holiday and we are very upset at how disgusting this place was. The pictures online are extremely deceiving because this house is not clean at all like it appears to be in the pictures. We showed up at our check-in time and the floors were not even clean! There was dirt and pine tree needles all over the place and the house had a disgusting smell. We used the vacuum to vacuum up the floors the next morning but the vacuum doesn't work well and it was no use. The kitchen dishes were all dusty and there are plumbing issues with this house. We had problems with the toilet in the master bathroom not wanting to flush and we had to unplug it. We didn't even shower on our last day there because the sink started clogging up and we were concerned that the shower would clog up too and make a mess everywhere. There weren't even pillow cases for most of the pillows and the blankets were very low quality. One of the blankets even has a big hole in it. The furniture is extremely old as well it looks like they furnished from a thrift shop. Before we checked into the house i received an email from Vacasa and they offered to extend our check-out time for $25 dollars. We accepted the offer but once we arrived at the house and saw the horrible condition i emailed them back to let them know we'd be leaving at normal check-out time instead. I cannot describe how disappointed we were to have to spend Thanksgiving in this horrible house! It ruined our holiday and that is a very sad thing because we were really looking forward to a great time for the holiday. I really wish we could receive a refund. We will not be returning and we will not be recommending.

Tired and run-down house

 • 1 of 5

An old house with sagging floors and doors, furnished in the cheapest thrift store style. Some might call this "charm," but it is reminiscent of college student housing. Plumbing problems (backed-up bathroom sink drain), former occupant's dirty laundry was left in the bathroom, lamp switch was broken presenting possible shock danger. Picture online was of a completely different, very attractive looking property. I was mis-led into paying a very high rate for a very mediocre property. I expect a refund from Vacasa for our bad experience.

About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
