In the heart of beautiful San Francisco's Sunset District, sits our charming, three-bedroom, one-and-one-half bathroom, Eduardian home-away-from-home. This completely remodeled luxury flat faces Golden Gate park and is walking distance to the De Young Museum. The Sunset District has been dubbed the most up and coming district in the city, with shops, restaurants/bars, Golden Gate Park, and the beach at your fingertips.
Equipped with a full gourmet chef's kitchen, our Sunset Flat is prime for short or long stays. For those cold San Francisco nights, the flat has two fireplaces, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom.
We have taken pride in the remodelling as well. Everything has been done top-notch - with granite countertops, brand-new appliances (including washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator), extensive inlaid marble work in kitchen and bathroom, and beautiful hardwood floors throughout the house.
Our slice of San Francisco provides a clean, new home with linens and access to the whole city... ten minutes to downtown and the financial district. The majority of visitors are return visitors... and we cater to small weddings, anniversaries, family reunions, and simple vacations.
Feel free to leave your heart in San Francisco... only to come back and re-find it in our home.
The property description was not the reality.
When we arrived: the lock box was broken, and we had to wait for keys. Once inside, we found a knife on one of the beds (Why?! Scary since we were traveling with young children); laundry in the washer and dryer; and filthy, grimy blinds (had not been cleaned in a LONG time!).
As far as the property description: "completely remodeled"... maybe ten years ago! There was paint chipping off the walls in every room, the hardwood floors were in dire need of refinishing, and the "brand new appliances" were far from new... for example, the refrigerator had a broken handle. The described "full gourmet chef's kitchen" included nothing but a few pans with Teflon worn off. I just wanted to be able to cook for my family rather than going out, and it was just too nasty.
There was a trash can in the kitchen that was located in a cabinet that had a reverse opening to the outside with nothing but a screen. This might part of the reason for the ant problem that was very evident during our stay... not only in the kitchen, but also noticed ants in our bedroom!!
We were only provided with one key. You could only lock the flat from the outside; therefore, if someone was staying "home," they were either locked in or the door had to be unlocked. Unsafe in every measure.
I could go on, but I hope this gets the point across to any prospective renters. Although the manager/owner acknowledged that I deserved compensation, they would only do so if I agreed to sign a waiver stating that I would not leave a negative review! This did not seem right to me. This experience has turned out to be such a nightmare!
Our recent visit to SAN Francisco was for a family emergency, despite the nature of our visit, we loved the city and the accommodations. The property is well taken care of, nicely furnished and over all, beautiful San Francisco architecture. Great location, across the street from Golden State Park where you have plenty of things to see, specially the science museum. I would stay here any time. Parking is a bit of a challenge, maybe because we went on a holiday weekend. You have to watch all parking signs as common to have two or three different parking signs with confusing instructions. I would have given this place 5 stars had I not encounter parking issues.
I've stayed here with friends every year for an event and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. It's a great spot and the location is perfect. I love the neighborhood of Sunset and this place gives you great access with everything being within walking distance. Thanks!
Back in 2010, a group of friends decided to make a trip from LA to San Francisco for Outside Lands music festival. We found this fantastic property and ended up making it an annual trip over the past 5 consecutive years! It is extremely conveniently located directly across from Golden Gate Park and only a few blocks from the heart of Inner Sunset. Would strongly recommend this property for your next SF visit!
My family and I were very happy with this property. We were a party of eight and everyone slept comfortably. The unit is located right next to Golden Gate Park, which is a great spot to get lost in for days. My kids love it there....they would have been happy staying there the whole trip.
Property owners were extremely nice and accommodating. A real pleasure to work with. Another great plus is parking was never an issue here. Parked right in front of the unit every time. We will defintely stay here again.
A great place! Literally across the street from Golden Gate Park. Close to the beach. Brought our own car with our crew of 8 and didn't have any trouble parking. Owners were super welcoming and easy to work with. Andronico's Market (like a Whole Foods, but with Oreos and Pringles) is just around the corner. Felt safe and, though it's on a busy street, quiet.
We've always done two hotel rooms in the past and now VRBO is my best friend. I loved having a place to cook, room to spread out, having my kids make their own beds ;) and feeling more like natives. This house had everything we needed!
Just a few notes: There wasn't quite enough seating at the kitchen table for us all. It wasn't a problem for us, but there's no bathtub. They do have a baby tub in the laundry room if you have a tiny one. Needs a few more hangers. Wished had remembered it was California and brought my reusable shopping bags from home. Flat has laundry soap and plenty of linens.
Our kids' (2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12) favorites: collecting sand dollars at Ocean Beach, hiking in Muir Woods, the fortune cookie factory in Chinatown, pizza at Tony's in Little Italy, Monterey Aquarium and Phil's Fish Market, ferry ride to Sausalito, and the concrete slide at the children's playground in Golden Gate Park. We hadn't even left before the kids were asking how soon we could come back!
