Beautiful home on Pelican Lake

  • 5 of 5

We stayed on Pelican Lake over Memorial Weekend for a family wedding, and had a great time! The house was perfect for the 11 family members that stayed there, with plenty of space for all. We would highly recommend this house for any family looking for a great vacation, with beauty all around. The property is on a sandy beach, which makes it great for water fun, as well as a great fishing lake! The house is beautiful and well maintained, fully furnished, and comfortable. We greatly appreciated being able to ask lots of questions and get quick answers, so we knew what to pack as we prepared for our long weekend. Most of the family had never done a VRBO, so they were super impressed with the ease and comfort of staying in a fully furnished home, with the ability to prepare meals and have quality family time without having to go out to eat. Overall, it was great!

Beautiful Lake Home!

  • 5 of 5

My family and a few friends stayed in this home the weekend of my daughter’s wedding. It was extremely convenient as it’s only 5 minutes from The Barn at Danvilla where the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and gift opening occurred. The house was clean and comfortable. The heated floors throughout definitely took the chill out! It included all the comforts of home, including wireless access and direct TV. The inside refrigerator wasn’t working when we checked in, but the owners took quick action and had it replaced within a few hours - they definitely did everything possible to make our experience a good one...and it was! We would definitely stay here again - and would love to see it in the summer. The lake would be beautiful with no ice!

Perfect Location For a Family Gathering!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for our family get together! Three adult children, our partners, parents and grandmother all comfortably spent a week here in mid-August. We rented a pontoon from a local dealer who delivered the boat and picked it up at the lake's public access point.

The cabin is convenient for great, local restaurants, flea markets, shopping and entertainment. The lake is great for casual cruises around the perimeter, either by boat or bike, with lots of activity of the more adventurous type.

My grandma uses a wheelchair, so the main floor master suite worked perfect for her and she was able to navigate the cabin very well. She even spent several afternoons on the adjoining patio watching us on the water and enjoying lunch with everyone.

We hope to return again next year!

Pelican Lake

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this gorgeous cabin the second week of July 201 5 for a week there was 6 adults, a 2 year old and a 5 month old. We had plenty of room. Inside the cabin was updated, spacious and nicely decorated. We had a Direct TV and Internet. Nice view of the lake. Great beach area and a beautiful yard.

We had a couple campfires and played some basketball. Went out on the lake everyday with the boat or jet ski's and had a great time. It's such a nice lake. The men went golfing one day and part of a day us girls went shopping.

Emails were always answered quickly. Owners were easy to work with and returned phone calls promptly.

We definitely will go back we had a great time. Smith Family

Five star house on pelican lake

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this beautiful cabin for a week during the summer of 2014. It can comfortably house three to four families with kids (we had three families with kids). Everything inside is very high quality just like in the pictures. Beautiful open kitchen, flat screened television, huge comfortable couches . Everything is very tastefully decorated. Even table lamps, light switches and wall art are all in one style. There is a huge window in the living room with a view of the lake and gorgeous sunsets. Beautiful French doors to a deck with a grill, a great place to have dinner at sunset . Plenty of beds and space to store your belongings. The 2nd story has multiple beds to sleep all the kids. The bathrooms are clean updated and spacious .

House sits right on top of a grass hill in front of the water. Great for small kids, as it doesn't get deep right away and they can play by the beach safely. We rented a paddle board during our stay perfect water front to paddle out . My husband went fishing every morning and night and I don't think he ever caught so many fish in one week. Plenty of northerns, walleyes and bass. There is a full kitchen, well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. Pelican rapids is 15 minutes drive from the house . Great market in pelican rapids and variety of stores .

The owners were easy to work with, always answered our e-mails and phone calls.

Overall we had an awesome time and really enjoyed our stay at the house. Will recommend the house to our family and friend and certainly stay there again!

Located 15 minutes from Detroit Lakes and 45 minutes from Fargo/Moorhead. Nearby golf courses include Wildflower, Fair Hills, and Detroit Lakes Country Club. Zorbaz restaurant and bar is a 5-10 minute drive away and a general store is within a couple miles. Great area for snowmobiling, ice fishing, and cross country skiing in the winter.
