Our home was remodeled in 2013, including the kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Newly remodeled bathrooms as well. The bedrooms and bath layouts are very convenient and private for both couples and families with children, and really layout as 3 separate suites. There is a small private sandy beach, a 250' long private pier into the bay that features a covered seating and entertainment area, storage room with refrigerator with ice maker, outdoor cooking equipment, and other equipment for swimming, fishing, crabbing and boating. The house comes with all of the features and fixtures one would expect at a well appointed vacation home.

A popular walking trail passes the house and provides for excellent walking, jogging and biking.

Only a few hundred yards away is the magnificent Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf Club & Spa with its beautiful landscaping, wonderful golf and recreational features, fine dining, yacht basin and many other facilities.

The sunsets are wonderful, as are the distant views of ocean going ships, commercial fishing and shrimping vessels, and pleasure crafts.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review. This group of 4 siblings, now living in various parts of the country, gathered for a long weekend at our home. They were excellent to do business with, took great care of our home, and fun to meet. We try very hard to make our home as comfortable as possible, and I certainely appreciate the kind remarks.

Fabulous girl retreat

  • 5 of 5

This property is like slipping on your favorite robe and slippers and letting the cares of the world float away! Fairhope itself offers so much good shopping and so many good restaurants, but we were always happy to get back to our comfortable home away from home. Can't wait to take my family there!

Super nice owner, super clean, loved it all!

Owner's Response: We are so fortunate and blessed to be able to consistently attract such wonderful people that want to stay in our home. This group of 3 fine ladies, old college friends, arrived from Texas and Colorado and seemingly had a great time. They were fun to deal with, and took great care of our home. Thanks for the review. It is appreciated. Sheryl mentions the restaurant scene in Fairhope. And she is correct, there are so many great place to eat, that its hard to make a recommendation because they are all so good, and only 10 minutes away. In addition to the immediate area near the house, there are many first class restaurants only a short, pleasant drive, in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, on the Mobile Bayway, and in Downtown Mobile.

Fabulous Girls Trip

  • 5 of 5

Such a wonderful & beautiful home in a perfect location! The view of the bay was amazing, the house was very well appointed, and the owner was wonderful. Great house for a girls trip. We all had our own bed & the common area was big enough for all to visit, laugh & watch movies. Would definitely come back!

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for the great review. This group (from all over the southeast) had so much fun shopping, attending estate sales, antiquing. And eating out! They told me of a couple of great restaurants that I was not familiar with and said they were some of the best they had ever been to. They were fun and cooperative and took great care of our home. I hope they will come back.

Perfect Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect vacation home! My extended family stayed during the week between Christmas and New Year's. Upon our arrival we were immediately greeted by one of the owners, who was staying in the house next door. He was very friendly and accommodating and checked on us throughout the week to make sure we didn't need anything. (We never needed anything as the house and pier were so well stocked.) The house is laid out in such a way that, despite there being 7 of us staying there, we never felt the least bit crowded.

We were fortunate enough to have 80 degree sunny weather for the first two days so much time was spent fishing and crabbing off the pier as well as kayaking. We had visitors of all ages throughout the week and we found there to be plenty of room and seating for our party of 7 plus 4 visitors. It was during one of our gatherings that the owner dropped by a whole sack of satsuma oranges for us. Bonus!! :) The next few days were a little cooler but we brought our bikes with us and found that there are endless bike trails throughout Point Clear. The trails were all paved and pretty flat which makes it bike friendly for all ages. We found that if you cut through the Grand Hotel, there is a bike path traveling along the water for a little over a mile. We could not ride it enough.

In summary, this house was so fun and so comfortable that despite there being so much to see in Fairhope and Point Clear, we rarely left the house - at least not by car. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much to the owners for making your family home available to us and for making our stay so enjoyable.

Owner's Response: Thanks for a wonderful review. This family was a pleasure to work with and I'm so very happy they enjoyed themselves. Christen points out one of features of our immediate area that I sometimes overlook - the great biking opportunities. There are many improved trails for both casual and serious bikers. All of which are very scenic.

The Baldwins thoroughly enjoyed Fairhope, AL

  • 5 of 5

Our Family (2 grandparents, 4 kids, 3 in-laws, and 4 children) enjoyed our time at this property. It was pristine upon arrival, with all of the toiletries and sundries that anybody could want. The proximity to the pier, whether to read, go crabbing, or just enjoy a beer, was positively delightful. Our hosts were completely conscientious in every way. You can tell it was a good stay because in seven (7) days there, we never had to ask our hosts for a thing. The place was perfectly set up, and we enjoyed all seven days of our stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the great review. We do try very hard to make the house as comfortable as possible. Jimmy points out what many people say about our pier. It is set up extremely well, with plenty of covered seating, a sink, refrigerator, large teak dining table, outdoor cooking equipment, and comfortable areas for sunbathing, crabbing, fishing and swimming.
