3 Bedroom Home Sleeps 8 With Boathouse and Slip For Your Boat
Vacation in this beautifully updated, three bedroom water front ranch situated on an inviting level lot with gorgeous views of Lake Burton, and the surrounding mountains.
The house is located in a private neighborhood accessed by a flat paved road and driveway with plenty of parking. The house comfortably sleeps eight, and features two flat screened televisions with Direct T.V. Satellite, DVD player, iPod dock, fully equipped kitchen, open dining and living areas, gas fireplace, and washer/dryer. The charming screened in porch offers additional eating and sitting areas, and the adjacent deck has a gas grill with hook up.
A double deck boathouse, with slip available for your boat, features areas for sunning and taking in the view, or you can escape the sun and enjoy a cool beverage under the shade of the pergola. A private swimming dock equipped with stairs leads you gently into the clean, refreshing lake fed by cool mountain streams.
The protected, no-wake zone provides safe and peaceful swimming, floating, canoeing, and fishing. A canoe is provided, and if needed, boats and jet skis can be conveniently rented at LaPrades Marina just a few miles down the road.
The large, sod yard is perfect for all kinds of outdoor activities such as volleyball, horseshoes, and croquet, or simply take the time to unwind with a good book in the tree shaded hammock. As evening falls, circle the adirondack chairs around the built-in fire pit on the flagstone patio for a night of roasting marshmallows, storytelling, and star gazing.
A unique feature of the area is that it’s so close to everything, and at the same time feels so far away. Should you decide to do a little exploring, Lake Burton is surrounded with many opportunities for day trip adventures such as hiking, cycling, zip-lining, horseback riding, berry picking, shopping, sightseeing, and antiquing in the nearby historic southern towns of North Georgia (Clayton, Helen, Hiawassee), and Highlands, N.C.
This home is perfect for all members of the family from tots to teenagers to seniors. Vacation here and start making memories you’ll treasure for years to come…

Why Julie Church chose Clayton
I fell in love with Lake Burton while attending camp here as a child, and always knew I wanted to have a home here myself. This charming house in a neighborhood setting has proved to be the perfect retreat.

So cozy. We loved it
Thank u for decorating for Christmas ! It wa beautiful and we had a fabulous time. Just wish we could have stayed longer
We totally enjoyed our stay! Perfect for families looking to unwind and enjoy the fresh mountain air! We hiked for waterfalls (Minnehaha Falls was very close and beautiful!), fished and enjoyed a warm fire by the water nearly every night. Lovely house with everything we needed! Kitchen was well stocked and the gas fireplace was very warm! :). Highly recommend Batesville Restaurant for breakfast....best omelettes and pancakes and a quaint country store!
Had a great time!
We really enjoyed staying in Julie's cottage on the lake. The home was super clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, as we did a lot of cooking there. We enjoyed everything the home had to offer, especially the canoe and eating dinner on the screened-in porch each night. The kids loved the canoe and telling ghost stories around the firepit, too. Overall, it was a lovely stay!
Could not have been more perfect!
We had a girls weekend at this little cottage and it by far exceeded our expectations! Comfortable and spacious with plenty of outside seating to enjoy each other's company! Would definitely stay here again!
Ahhh, thank you ladies! So glad you enjoyed your time together...
Come back soon,
Cozy home and water fun yard
Great time and Julie was very accommodating. Quiet part of lake but minutes to beautiful sunset spot. Enjoyed our time there!
Thank you for the review. It's true, our cove is a choice spot for sunset viewing!
Glad you had a great time.
Great weekend at Lake Burton!
Tubing, swimming, canoeing, fishing, and laughing all together as a family! Watching the full moon come up over the lake while roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. Picture perfect weather with a nip of fall in the air. And visiting with our old friend "Sheba". I think we accidentally fed an imposter posing as "Sheba"! Great time at a lovely quaint cottage on Lake Burton! We will be back!
