About Dee D.

This is My Story... During the first several months upon relocating to Hawaii, I met an old Native Hawaiian living along Ka’a’awa’s beautiful coastline. He asked what brought me to Hawaii, and without even giving it a thought; I replied something to the effect about job transfer. He slowly rubbed his chin and nodded showing his disagreement and then humbly responded in a soft voice, “You were brought here to heal…” Little did I know at that moment, but healing was the one thing I truly needed in my life, and slowly over several years this beautiful stretch of coastline and the warm waters of Ka'a'awa has 'healed me'. To this day I recall the profound truth in Joe’s statement so many years ago…“You were brought here to heal”. It is amazing what the warm tranquil waters and the soft sands of Ka’a’awa can do… My move to Hawaii is just but one chapter in my Journey. I would love the opportunity to share the Secrets and Aloha of my small piece of Heaven as you travel along 'Your Life's Journey...'

Our Oahu Haven

  • 5 of 5

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was very clean, well organized, and fully equipped with all the comforts of home (and then some!). The lanai was fabulous overlooking the spacious yard and mountain views, with ample shade and a continual cool breeze. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet. We loved the location away from the busy city but were still close enough to get to places downtown in a reasonable amount of time. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this house and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Oahu. Dee was an amazing host and we deeply appreciate her wonderful hospitality and for sharing her beautiful home with us.

Time of our lives

  • 5 of 5

This house is set in a beautiful setting. It makes you feel like you are on vacation because of all the nice little touches the homeowner does, but then it is very conveniently located just a few blocks from a 711 and the beach. We met the homeowner and she was very pleasant and helpful with any questions we could come up with. I would not hesitate to stay at this home again in the future. Aloha!!

Our stay at Dee D Spencer's home was fabulous. Dee is such a gracious and accommodating host.. Any questions I had were answered in less than the 24 hours. Two months prior to our trip our return flight was changed. Dee was able to add one additional night to our stay. Words cannot express how accommodating she is with her guests.

The house is everything and more. Our 18 month old grandson loved the yard and running on the lanai. We prepared a lot of meals in the awesome kitchen and ate on the lanai enjoying the wonderful weather. The location is great for whatever you want to do while in Oahu. The house is half way between Honolulu and the North Shore so very convenient to anything you would like to do. Staying here was the perfect choice because it was so relaxing, beautiful and great for anyone taking a trip to Oahu. Dee is an awesome owner and you will not go wrong renting her home!!!!

Warning!! Do not stay... We will never return to the property due to owner.

  • 1 of 5

This property has a lot of rules so please be aware. There are signs posted throughout the house of what to do & what not to do. Visitors are not allowed on the premises unless approved by owner. Once approved $25 per person per day/visit/night. Must provide names of people staying on property. Owner is on the premises daily watching & looking in the property & checking. Owner's place is attached to the rental property. No air condition, It is cool at night, super hot during the day. Washer & dryer is super loud so make sure to wash during the day. The neighbors are super close. Renters are not allowed on the grass, except the neighbor's dog it is allowed to relieve himself on the grass. The guest book, shows a family had a reunion & birthday party on the premises but when it came to us it was a flat out NO hosting family dinner and/or any get together. Only 1 small television in the house that is the living room. Not kid friendly a lot of decorations throughout the house easy for young kids to break. If you smoke you have to smoke outside the fence, during the day good but at night no street lights outside those fences therefore you have to smoke in the dark so bring flashlight. Smoke detectors need new batteries because we are tired of dealing with the owner Dee we didn't bother to tell her about it. We rented the property for a week, because we had planned our vow renewal ceremony for 11/15/2017 at Kualoa Ranch. Dee didn't allow us to have visitors on the property we had to come out of the pocket to find a place to host our Sunday family brunch after church. Kualoa Ranch helped us out a lot we love them and thank God for Kualoa staff they made my day memorable after Dee stressed me out showing up at our rental place 5 times and cancelling all my event plans. I couldn't have my make up artist come to the house to do my hair and makeup. My bridesmaids couldn't come over to the house to get their hair and makeup done. My photographer was not allowed on the premises to take my preceremony photos. We had to move our plans to my brother's place 45mins to an hour away. I was late to my event due to traffic if we had all gotten ready at our rental would have been good not stressed out. Dee is horrible according in my experience but according to the guestbook she goes over to the rental property and eats with all guests, she is attending their events and she keeps saying her neighborhood is quiet don't want noise anytime

We had such a great time thank you so much! The house had everything we needed. I really loved the privacy and ability to sit outside on the covered porch at night! It’s a short drive to many different places and lots to see! Thank you again for being so accommodating!

Absolutely stunning and more

  • 5 of 5

The property was very nice and met the needs of our group perfectly! I cannot say enough good things about the property, location, and owner. Dee was responsive to calls and emails and made the trip go very smooth. The house was located in a quiet area and was close to a number of nice beaches. I would not hesitate to return to the property for more rest and relaxation. The small touches she provided in welcoming us to her property convinced me that her VRBO is the way to see Oahu.
