average rating of 4.714286 based on 31 reviews

It was perfect for us.

  • 5 of 5

We were there the beginning of August 2016. There were 9 of us. Plenty of room for us all. We really enjoyed the upstairs kitchen with plenty of room to eat together and hang out after our days of hiking in Waterton. Well-stocked kitchen. Bathrooms worked out well. Everyone was happy with their bedrooms. Loved the colors inside, the beautiful flowers outside. It is a 15-minute easy and scenic drive into Waterton. We had two younger boys with us who enjoyed the horse out back and playing some basketball. We had a good bit of rain while we were there so didn't get to enjoy the great outside deck.

mount haven lodge

  • 3 of 5

We were there June 2016...A couple of things about the house. It is huge so there is lots of room to spread out. It was a little shabbier than we thought it would be and we had issues with mice that were in the dropped ceiling in the downstairs bedroom. Also the firepit is a long way from the house which is surprising as the grounds are great. Overall we would probably rate the place 6 out of 10.

Owner's Response: Living in the country you can always expects a few unwanted pests such as flies, wasps, moths, gophers, skunks, and sometimes even a pesky mouse. We appreciate our guests letting us know when these pesky little creatures come around the lodge so we can handle them. We have handled and continue to handle any mice that may come into the lodge through doors that may have been left open or any other unwanted way. This poor review is nothing more than living in the country and Mother Nature. As for the fire pit, sometimes a short walk away from the lodge will not only do the soul good, but also keep smoke out of the Lodge. We feel the Lodge is well furnished, very large, and well decorated and "shabby chic" NOT deserving of a poor review.

gorgeous views

  • 4 of 5

Plenty of room. Everyone had space to escape to and enough space to gather together. The views were amazing. Be forewarned there is no free wifi although the add says there is. We booked it so my son could do his summer course on line. The wifi is cheap at two dollars a day but a bit of a headache to get into. The carpets are clean but have that feeling of to many washes. The Kitchen is really well stocked which is lovely. The flowers in the garden amazing. The corner store is close and has most of what you may need as well as close to Waterton.

Fantastic !!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a party of 13 for our annual family reunion and this lodge had all we needed and more :

* Beds for 22.

* Two kitchen areas helped with all our cooking.

* The owner Steve is super nice

* Very scenic

* Only 15 minutes to Waterton

* Horses to pet and feed grass in backyard.

* Clean house (minus a coupe items that needed dusting)

I'd highly recommend this lodge for any large party.

Best experience I could have ever hoped fo!

  • 5 of 5

This lodge was just incredible. I think my most favourite place I have stayed so far. I had a group of woman (10) for a bachelorette weekend/hike. There was so much space for everyone. The decor was fabulous! The pictures don't do it justice for the beauty and space you get inside and outside the cabin. A beautiful touch to have such a spiritual animal like a horse be right in the backyard with some fun chickens. So much privacy, it was a truly relaxing calming environment to be in. Everyone that came was at awe with the place, with a few wanting to return for future indevers. From start to finish this place was so accommodating to our needs, it was the perfect weekend for us! Mary, Chelsea and Scott thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of heaven on earth! I plan on coming back for my own vacation.
