Comfortable and Homey

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived at the cottage, we were pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of the living room and bedrooms. Also, the cottage was very clean, even the kitchen cupboard knobs! There was a window air conditioner in the kitchen and one in the bedroom with the twin beds. They kept us nice and cool on the couple muggy days that we had.

Outside, there was plently of room: there was a round picnic table with an umbrella, patio chairs and more! There was a nice mix of sun and shade thanks to the beautiful mature trees. The water wasn't cold and had a sandy bottom that was shallow for quite a way out. Great if you have small kids. We spent a lot of time on the beach and wanted to stay another weak to work on our tans.

We visited Pigeon, Caseville and Port Austin and went through the shops and had a few meals out. It was a great week!

Perfect weekend get-away

  • 5 of 5

Directly off water with amazing view, fireplace during winter time is a big plus, great booth style seating in kitchen area looking out at water view and able to do own cooking at stove as well as store food in working fridge, well organized rooms that allow adequate space for a family with kids if needed (kid bedroom next to adult bedroom), our dog was allowed- another plus since we wouldn't have been able to otherwise go. TV capacities and wifi a plus, tenant easy-going and great to deal with, not far from town- another plus. Priced well and overall does the job for a great weekend get-away overlooking the marvelous view.

Down-side: sad to leave :(

Great view of lake fireplace was awesome for winter evenings

  • 5 of 5

There was need for family to travel in from many states so it was nice to find a rental home that could house up to ten people if needed in comparing it to the cost of a hotel well it was just a no-brainer to go with this one it was beautiful it had a full kitchen and everything we needed to cook and my son even used the gas grill and barbecued steaks while standing in the falling snow on the back patio! everything is usable it was a great winter experience I plan on returning there in the summer months can't wait to see the lake then! It was also awesome that the owner had the driveway plowed for us before we arrived and the heat set up so that it was warm when we arrived. There was also plenty of extra blankets and pillows.

Just what the Doctor Ordered!

  • 5 of 5

Quiet, peaceful weekend with beautiful views of Saginaw Bay. We played games and enjoyed a few nights away from the city. Tips for other travelers- don't forget to pack toilet paper, hand soap, towels. Thanks for a memorable trip!
