Why Jeff Crane chose Southwest

My wife and I built this place to raise a family in a safe and nurturing environment. After raising our two kids here we moved to Carbondale, CO in 2010 so the children could attend a private high school there.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

The greatest benefit of this property is the privacy and the scenic views. This is perfect for a relaxing get-away with close-by gold medal fishing, hiking and wine-tasting at the surrounding wineries.

PARADISE!

  • 5 of 5

We were exhausted with a long and difficult road trip to our destination, and when we entered the property, it was just like stepping into Paradise ! The difficult road trip was well worth it! We enjoyed every minute and everything about this property! We didn't even feel like visiting the region anymore. Being there was just enough! Out of the crowds and the stress, visited daily by "Jack" the fox, enjoying meals on the terrasse... Our 4 year old grandson was the happiest of all! It is private, it is secluded and it is "magnifique!"

merci mille fois!

Christine

Great Relaxing Girl's Weekend Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This was a GREAT, quiet, relaxing get-away for a girl's weekend away from home. Not only great relaxing views from the house, but we were close to many local wineries that we were able to tour and just enjoy the slower paced mountain life!

The house was VERY clean and the kitchen well stocked for the meals we prepared at home, including a nice big grill. Anything we would have needed was readily available.

Perfect basecamp for our visit to the North Fork Valley

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place for our four adults and four young kids to stay, while adventuring in the valley. It's a wonderful home with perfect spaces for visiting and relaxing. It's a wonderful little oasis on the hill. We'll be back!

Great vacation

  • 5 of 5

This house was a perfect location for us to explore Gunnison George, Grand Mesa, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, and Ridgeway. We had everything we needed. It was very peaceful and very comfortable.

Shhh. It's a Secret

  • 5 of 5

This place is so wonderful, I am tempted to give it a terrible review so I can keep it all to myself. I won't talk about the spectacular views of the valley, or the comfy porch with the hammock, or the dark starry nights where you can see the Milky Way.

So I'll say this instead. Are you looking for a place that's packed with people? This is not the place for you. Are you looking for a place with no access to nature whatsoever? Not this place. Are you looking for a place that has just so-so views, with only single rainbows, never double rainbows? Keep looking.

And, whatever you do, don't tell your friends about it. Shh. It's a secret.
