Why Jeff Crane chose Hotchkiss
My wife and I built this place to raise a family in a safe and nurturing environment. After raising our two kids here we moved to Carbondale, CO in 2010 so the children could attend a private high school there.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
The greatest benefit of this property is the privacy and the scenic views. This is perfect for a relaxing get-away with close-by gold medal fishing, hiking and wine-tasting at the surrounding wineries.

Just what we were looking for!
We wanted a secluded spot near enough to some of Colorado’s most beautiful areas for day trips, and we found it!
We are a family of eight and we visited for a long (4 nights) weekend. The house was perfect for all of us, including the kids.
The North Side of the Black Canyon is incredible. Don’t miss it!
A nice secluded gem. Even with the heat of summer it was very comfortable and relaxing. Everyone in our group loved the place and the time passed to quickly.
This home is a great place for a large group of friends and or families. The set up is perfect for personal space if needed and space to be all together for family meals, games and to enjoy the view together.
Great quiet place to stay with the entire family.
Our group drove here from Denver. We food shopped in Glenwood Springs. This was unnecessary since City Markets are close by in Hotchkiss and Delta. We found the Hacienda on the first attempt. I would recommend to view it on Google Maps, Satellite view to see how to approach it from Rte. 92. Our stay was nearly perfect. The caretaker addressed an odor coming from the carpet. A beam above a twin bed was emitting some wood dust, probably from an insect. The microwave which sees heavy use simply needs to be replaced. We attended a wedding and used this as our base. The dark clear sky at night allowed great viewing. My rating is 4.9 of 5. The caretaker was conscientious and Jeff was accessible.
very few minor inconveniences
