About Anne Theisen

Dan has lived on the ranch his entire 50 plus years and knows this area like the back of his hand. We have always loved entertaining and would love to have you experience this peaceful spot. I am an RN working part time as a Hospice nurse. We are lucky to have our children and 2 grandchildren living in the area. We love the Gallatin Valley and hope to help you have an amazing Montana Vacation.

Anne Theisen purchased this house in 2005

Why Anne Theisen chose Yellowstone Country

This ranch has been in the family since the 1940's and continues to produce wheat or barley depending on the year. Each of the Theisen brothers have 160 acre ranches surrounding our 160 acre ranch...therefore open spaces, beautiful views and tranquility.

What makes this house unique

The spectacular 360 degree views of 5 surrounding mountain ranges and the Gallatin Valley is what sold us to build on this site. There are many draws to hike and discover wildflowers, old ranch artifacts and view the wildlife. At night the lights of the valley and the star filled sky are stunning and provide a sense of wonder.

Beautiful home with gorgeous views and great for a family stay!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures don't do this house justice, the views are absolutely amazing with stunning mountain ranges in every direction! It was so peaceful and quiet outdoors with views that cannot be beat. The house itself is perfect for a family or group of friends. We stayed there for my sister's graduation from MSU and had the relatives stay with us too. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a very open and spacious kitchen with six bar stools so cooking meals together and socializing in the kitchen was where we spent most of our time. The downstairs was quite cozy as well, with the pool table, extra kitchen area, oversized chess table that my brothers loved, and tons of old Disney movies. Montana is a beautiful place to explore, but the house itself has more than enough to keep everyone entertained whenever you're at home! I think my family and I could have stayed there forever :) Thanks Anne and Dan!

Great Experience!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with a group of friends for a wedding in Bozeman. We were looking for a house that gave us a bit more of a view and mountain feel. This house did not disappoint! The view and grounds were amazing. The house was well kept and had plenty of space for 6 adults. We loved seeing Blueberry, the chicken, each day! Anne and Dan were very accomidating for us and even helped us with checking in a day earlier than planned. I would recommend this home for anyone and hope to visit again in the future with my children!

This was the perfect place for our stay in Montana.

  • 5 of 5

Anne and Dan's house was a wonderful place for us, during our recent stay in Montana. Our son was getting married in the area, and we needed a good sized place to accommodate us all. Anne and Dan are so very accommodating to anything we needed. We hosted the rehearsal dinner at the place, and it worked out so well, with the wrap-around deck and stunning view! This place is so spacious and has anything you could want, including a sauna! But the best part was getting to know our hosts, Anne and Dan. They are very warm and welcoming, and made our stay wonderful.

5 Star Bozeman Ranch Getaway close to many Montana charms

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 (my husband, myself, our 19 yr. old college student, our 11 yr. old, & my mom) + our dog stayed with Anne & Dan over the 2015 Forth of July Holiday. It was unbelievable! They are fantastic people & excellent hosts! They graciously open their home on their magnificent family ranch. It would be hard to find a better spot to enjoy the out of this world mountain views or the x's hours of fireworks that we could see all throughout the valley! We enjoyed every moment of our time staying with them. As far as vacation rentals, you may find more modern accommodations but none with all the charm and warmth that we found here. The short jaunt out of town brought us to a surprisingly secluded hilltop escape from all of the worlds hustle & bustle. The house was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The sauna was the cherry on top! The linens and towels were fluffy and top notch. We used the porch to visit and just sit in the still grandness of the mountains from breakfast well into the afternoons, just as much as our kids utilized the pool table. Between enjoying the animals (deer on the hillside, horses and chickens on the ranch) and walking on the property, we could have easily stayed right at the ranch and never gone to Yellowstone. But when we did, we were very happy to return to the ranch and cap the day with a sky full of magnificent stars! As hosts go, Anne & Dan can't be beat. They were eager to share their home, their knowledge of the area, and were helpful with all of our questions (from wildlife to town spots to visit). We will be returning to the ranch as often as time allows!
