It was amazing!!..The house is perfect and very clean and beautiful furniture!..We never turned the tv on because it was so peaceful and relaxing there...I will def stay there again!..Thank you!
This is a wonderful home in the perfect location! Dave was so nice to allow us a two night stay even though there is usually a three night minimum. The lock box made check in and check out a breeze. The house was VERY CLEAN, thoughtfully decorated and well stocked. The patio out back, which has a grill, was the perfect place for relaxing and visiting. We were a group of 7 on a girls trip but the home would also work wonderful for multiple families. The house is very roomy....beds, bathrooms and seating were plenty. Downstairs is a completely separate living space with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room, washer and dryer. The house is built into a hill so the downstairs is well lit with nice windows, tall ceilings and two doors to outside. There was plenty of parking with three stalls in front of the house and a city parking lot across the street, which was fun to watch the people during the day and was empty in the evening. The neighborhood feels very safe and is quiet and well lit. There is a hilly area out back that kids would enjoy climbing. The best part is how close you are to downtown. You are literally right around the corner from shopping, eating, river walk, etc... We also had the great pleasure of visiting White Elk Vision and Glass in Glen Haven. Marty and Elijah were so gracious and we spent hours digging through their studio finding beautiful treasures to take home. If you go on weekdays, you can watch the glass blowing demonstration. Then we returned back to Stone's Throw to relax and order Poppy's Pizza. It was a wonderful weekend! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing home with us! We will definitely be returning!
Wonderful stay. Very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Great layout as we all had our space but could come together in the comfortable den. Had a nice brunch at the dining room table and enjoyed the patio table for morning coffee. So close and convenient to downtown shopping and restaurants. Couldn't have been better! Thanks for your hospitality and attention to all the details.
We could not be happier with Jill and Stone's Throw when our family stayed in Estes earlier this month. The home's location, on the western edge of town, was quiet and convenient during Elk Fest and for access to Rocky Mountain National Park. We didn't even have to use our vehicles to get around the town. Just walk out the front door, cross Old Fall River and you're where you want to be! The home itself was larger than we expected - three nice sized bedrooms on the main floor, and a large living room. I especially enjoyed all the windows in the living room and dining room to watch the deer in the morning and afternoon. What a treat! The extra space in the basement, which included an additional bathroom (for a total of 3), another bedroom and kitchen, was such a plus for a family that had two little kids that needed a separate living area. There was even a pack n play provided! We will definitely be coming back to Stone's Throw the next time we visit Estes.
Great Location to shops and restaurants; Riverwalk. Roomy, clean and comfortable living spaces. Bathrooms up are a bit small, but very usable.Property details were accurate as listed. there were 2 burned out lights in one bedroom upstairs on night stand and one down, which were really not a major inconvenience. Owner response on reservations was quick and reliable and very good instructions for check in and out.Overall a great experience for the money!!! Location to town is the best feature we believe. We had a wonderful stay at Stones Throw. The location was within easy walking distance of the downtown Estes area, but quiet and tucked away just enough. The house was very clean and comfortable, plus lots of space to gather in the living areas. We had four couples staying at the house and there was plenty of space, bathrooms, and seating. Thanks, Jill!
