About Odis and Rhonda Chambers

Odis and I have been married 34 years. We have lived in this area basically all those years. We raised our family in this location and still enjoy most of our family living close by. I (Rhonda) was born here. Odis' family hails from the Cades Cove area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. His family moved to Blount County when Cades Cove was established as part of the National Park. We purchased the property on which your cabin sits in 1990 and built the cabin in 2000. In order to maintain a natural theme we tastefully decorated this cabin with eagles. We have also been owners of our own restaurants for all or most of our married life.

Odis and Rhonda Chambers purchased this cabin in 2000

Why Odis and Rhonda Chambers chose East

The outdoors and Great Smoky Mountains National Park and this area have always been a huge part of our lives. We have done some traveling and realized that we would like to provide a romantic, restful get-away for couples, such as we would enjoy when we travel.

What makes this cabin unique

This home is privately owned, cleaned and maintained by the owners. It is our belief that every guest deserves the same clean, well maintained surroundings that this cabin offers.

Beautiful cabin in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first stay in Gatlinburg together and I already want to come back. This cabin was beautiful and it was in such a great location. I loved every minute of my stay. The pool table and hot tub were both fun ways to wind down after all the hiking and shopping we did throughout the week. We loved this place so much, we're already planning on staying again next year!

Owner's Response: Dear Toni, Thanks for the great review. Our niece cleans our cabins for us now and she made the comment after you left that "these folks are welcome back anytime". when we ask what she meant she said the cabin was so clean you could hardly tell anyone had been there. We do appreciate our guests taking such good care of our property. Look forward to hearing from you again next year. Sincerely, Rhonda and Odis

Beautiful quiet cabin!

Very beautiful cabin in the Smokey Mountain. Enjoyed the hottubs and the game room. Just wish the bed was a bit more comfortable. Would definitely consider staying again.

What else would you expect!

  • 5 of 5

First, the cabin is exactly as described with all of the amenities enabling my wife and I to have a splendid and much needed relaxing weekend. The cabin was clean and well equipped enabling us to walk in cook all of our meals with the exception of the provided breakfast and not worry about anything. Speaking of the breakfast, this one is new for us. Usually when we stay at a VRBO we have to do it all ourselves. However, our breakfasts during our stay, if we made that choice, was provided for us a few miles up Highway 321. The restaurant does not look like much, but the breakfast served was hot and good. Lastly, and more important, I do not think I have ever met more gracious people as Rhonda and Odis. Godly people who respect all and just outright sweet folks. We definitely will go back and back and back.

Owner's Response: Dear Dr. William, Thank you for this great review and for staying in our cabin. It was such a pleasure meeting both you and your wife. Thank you for all the donations you gave to our church for relief to those that lost so much during the fires in this area. We don't always get to meet our guests and you folks were such a blessing to both Rhonda and I. Thank you again for everything and may God richly bless you both in all things. Sincerely, Rhonda and Odis

Owner's Response: Dear Sarah, Thank you for the very nice review and for staying in our cabin. Most of all thank you for thinking about us during the fires. Rhonda and I and all of our properties are safe and undamaged unlike so many others in nearby areas. We hope you can come in the future most of the fire damage was in the residential areas around Gatlinburg leaving the business areas still open for visitors. Sincerely, Rhonda and Odis

The cabin was beautiful and clean. We will definitely rent here again and would recommend to all!

The cabin was close to all the attractions we wanted to see yet still secluded. We were able to go out on our balcony without seeing anything but a beautiful view.

We are located approximately four miles from one of many entrances to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This National Park is the 'most visited' park in the United States an offers a huge variety of outdoor activities i.e. hiking, fishing, tubing, pick-nicking etc. We are also only minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. These towns offer unlimited vacation activities i.e. shopping (including outlet malls), theme parks (Dollywood, and Dollywood Splash Country), Ripleys Aquarium, numerous dinner theatres, music shows, restaurants, amusement rides, etc.
