Hi! My name is Agnes and I like snowboarding, gardening, cooking and traveling. Currently I am studying at the Academy of Art University where I am perusing a degree in Illustration. When you rent my place in Tahoe, you may just find some of my paintings and drawings I am currently working on!

Gorgeous views, great accessibility to mountains
We really enjoyed our time in this house. The hosts were very responsive and friendly as well. I would say its best suited for families or couples as it sleeps 10 comfortably but additional kids could pile onto the couches. The view is spectacular and it doesn't hurt that it took us less than five minutes to get to the chairlifts door to door! Great value and stay. Thank you!!
Views, spacious for big families or groups
We did a multi-family retreat. Awesome views, loved the hot tub. A little windy however, being at the top of the hill. 4x4 needed in the winter if there is snow. Owner manager is easy to get ahold of and willing to answer questions.
Huge master bedroom. Also we liked the proximity to South Lake Tahoe and discovered Brautovich park is good for sledding and trails. On the last day the kitchen faucet stopped working. It had an old hose. We notified the owner and she was kind about it but it was too late to get it repaired for our remaining trip. We ended up using the dishwasher and bathroom sink for all kitchen washing. I’m guessing it’s fixed by now.
Overall great house for our larger family.
Great location, perfect for our summer
Well kept home, good for a group. It was very easy for us to get out on the water and then have a nice home to retreat back to.
Beautiful home, gorgeous views!
We truly had a memorable vacation here. The house is wonderful, with lots of room & spectacular views. It was an unforgettable experience & we will definitely want to come back again!
Great vacation spot!
Fantastic location, less then 5 minutes drive to Boulder Chair. Amazing views and wonderful hosts. The hot tub was awesome - we used it every night after skiing. The house has lots of space and the beds were very comfortable, nice sheets.
Agnes was extremely communicative and helpful from the beginning of messaging until the end of our stay. We will go back there for sure. I can recommend this house joyfully.
Dated home in need of maintenance
Extremely disappointing. Don’t rent if you are looking for a nice, clean, enjoyable family trip. If you want a run-down place to crash after a long day of skiing and don’t care that it is messed up and dirty, consider it against its not insignificant price.
The positives: the location was great. The views are amazing. The master bedroom is spacious. Beds mostly comfortable.
The not good:
House is roughly 35 years old and is poorly maintained. The pictures do not reveal its many flaws and issues. There has not only been a failure to maintain or update the house over time, but significant portions of it are in disrepair. Examples:
-The stair railings are about to break. Rickety.
-The dishes are chipped in addition to being dirty. Had to wash everything before considering using.
-A door on the middle level is bashed in.
-Holes in the walls everywhere. Some like drywall anchor holes without the screw or painting. Some just weird holes, gaps in drywall and/or paint.
-Paint is messed up everywhere.
-Electronics systems were a mess. Universal remote controls were supposed to operate the two TVs seamlessly. One was battery dead, and then the system had been improperly wired so HDMI cords were looping from and to the receiver. Universal remotes never worked quite right.
-Glass shower door in upstairs non-master bathroom falling out of its track.
-“Smart” thermostats were wildly off. House was cold when we arrived.
-Lightbulbs burned out throughout the house. Some light fixtures lack bulbs.
-Floor feels unstable and sags upstairs.
Arriving at the house after a long trip was tough. The instructions on Homeaway by the owner are a mess. The code for entry through the front door was wrong. Owner ignored a call but responded quickly to a text. She apparently is not local. She told me I was at the wrong unit, incorrectly. Eventually got in but it was a pain. Homeaway details have several wrong addresses.
Cleaning fee is a joke based on what you get. House wasn't clean. Dusty. You get clean sheets and towels but not clean.
House feels nowhere near 3,000 square feet. Wouldn't fit 12 comfortably. Not much common space.
Stairs. Lots of stairs, at elevation. Schlepping bags up is a pain ~five stories at ~8,000 feet elevation kills. Bring gates if you have little kids or else you risk injury.
Hot tub looked dubious and we didn't use it. Water level was low and water murky.
Kevin - how strange to write such a long list of complaints... yet you NEVER called or emailed me about any of the 'problems'... Floor feels unstable..? The railings are about to fall off? Dirty dishes... and towels? I wonder why you didn't just call... You stayed at the house for a week, didn't you? I would think that a natural reaction would be to call and demand your money back. Or demand the tub to be serviced. Why wait a month...? Hmmm.... Strange. I could have sent a contractor to make sure the house doesn't fall of the cliff... It's a miracle you survived for a week in that hell... Was the lake blue enough for you?
We have been hosting re-peat guests for years and based on their reviews and interactions I think they were pretty happy. Yes, we have stairs - the house is in the mountains and to see the spectacular lake views you have to be pretty high up. I guess you didn't know this but the mountains come generally with high elevations.... I'm sorry if a plate was chipped - that sometimes happens to glass. It was a little cold when you arrived? You're right - no one should have to wait for a long 5 minutes for the hot air to fill the house. And yes, maybe we didn't choose wall colors based on what's the newest trend in Milan. Sorry if that offended your artistic sensibilities.
I could go line by line and address your complaints but I think the insanity of the claims just speaks for itself. I'm just glad I am not your travel companion.
