My husband and I came here on a short get away for the weekend. Everything we needed for cooking, sleeping, showering was all provided. My only complaint was that the trip was not long enough! If you love natural light, you will love all the large scenic windows overlooking a very nice view of the mountains. There were no leaves on the trees when we went, so we could easily see the mountains. With some leaves, it might become a teensy bit more difficult.

The beds were super comfortable and the fireplace kept the whole cabin nice and warm. During the day we traveled into the town of Blue Ridge and walked around there for a bit. Very cute with lots of options for eating if you don’t like to cook.

Overall, a wonderful stay, and we can’t wait to come back.

Very nice cabin.

  • 3 of 5

The cabin was really nice. It had any thing you could have needed.

There are a couple of things that could have been better.

The hot tub could have been warmer. The water seemed like warm at best. The hot only seemed to be enough for one good hot shower. The foton in the living room was very small and uncomfortable.

All that being said it was a beautiful cabin with all the amenities. The master bedroom bed was amazing. They had even put up a Christmas tree and other Christmas decor. That was a really nice surprise. I would definitely stay there again but probably in the fall when there would be more things to do.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the feedback. I had our cleaner check the hot tub after reading your review and it is indeed broken. I apologize for that being the case during your visit. And sadly we had a very nice and comfortable futon in the living room that we discovered had been broken by a renter 3 days before your arrival. I had to scramble to get that sofa there before your arrival. We have had so much trouble with futons/sleeper sofas I think we are going to change the listing to only sleeps 4. After all we want all of our guests and their families to be able to sleep well. Carol Bauer

Charming cabin!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was wonderful. We made it in the night before the snow began to fall. We awoke to a winter wonderland! Almost ten inches in some areas. The cabin was well equipped. The hot water didn't last as long as we would've liked when filling the garden tub but my kids enjoyed heating water on the stove ( the old fashioned way) to top off their bath water. There were some sweet and friendly neighbors who came to check on us due to being snowed in. Carol (owner) was very helpful with anything we needed and answering all my questions. We enjoyed our stay!

Great location, beautiful and well equipped!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay here and we consider it our home away from home. The entire cabin is well stocked and has everything you could need during your stay. The area is super quiet and peaceful which is great when enjoying the hot tub outside. We love how close it is to blue ridge and hikes. The kids really love playing outside and really enjoying the outdoors while we’re there. Carol is very accommodating and responsive, if you have any problems she’s always there to help figure out a solution! As long as we’ll be coming to the Blue Ridge area, we’ll be staying in this cabin!
