This fabulous flat is famous! Woody Allen’s movie PARLIAMENT VIEW was filmed here, and in EUROPEAN VACATION, the roundabout scene, was filmed just in front of Parliament View. The location is amazing with the beautiful Albert Embankment and the River Thames in front of you. The living room and three bedrooms have views over the Thames to Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and to the London Eye. It is a panorama of immense beauty; all of London is right there. At night, the lighted city and the facade of the Parliament buildings with lighted Big Ben are memorable. The lighted LONDON EYE at night, colors changing continually, is an amazing scene. The Archbishop of Canterbury lives in Lambeth Palace next to Parliament View. Cross Lambeth Bridge, with all the fabulous views up and down the river, and wander through the gardens of Parliament to Parliament Square and Westminster Abbey/St. Margaret’s Church. Westminster Tube Station is about a 12-minute walk, all historical settings everywhere. The London Eye is ten minutes away. The Hungerford Bridge is just beyond the London Eye with easy access to Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden.
This amazing accommodation WITH CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING is a glass building of modern design. This apartment is on the fourth floor (with lift); the flat is also very modern with glass walls and overlooks the river and beyond. It is light and contemporary throughout. The entire apartment has wood floors and fine furniture. The LOUNGE has sofas, television, comfortable seating, and again wonderful views. The KITCHEN is very modern with all machines including washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, etc.. The MASTER BEDROOM has a UK King size bed, beautiful views, a second television, and an EN SUITE BATHROOM with shower stall as well as a bathtub with over-shower, wash hand basin, and loo. The SECOND BEDROOM has another UK King size bed, views, and ample storage. The THIRD BEDROOM has a single bed with a trundle bed for a second single bed. Bedrooms two and three use the SECOND BATHROOM with shower over the tub, wash hand basin, and loo. This accommodation is exceptional. When considering the quality of the building itself, the size of the facility (5/6 persons), the location, and the views over London, it is an outstanding selection for a trip to London. This is a first-choice property. Enjoy the photos and the view! Of all the properties ever offered by this company, this is one of the top five listings. Bus 8 stops directly in front of Parliament View and goes over Lambeth Bridge to Parliament Square, on to Trafalgar Square, and then on to Oxford Street. Fantastic! There is a grocery store just along the Albert Embankment, three minutes walk. There is a restaurant and a church next to Lambeth Palace. Taxis are everywhere; Westminster Tube Station is 10 minutes walk. Fantastic. High speed wireless internet is included. Property is designated non-smoking.

Amazing view for an amazing stay!
We stayed at the flat for a week, a family of four. It was spacious and allowed us all to have our own rooms with no one having to sleep on a sleeper sofa. We were concerned that flat might be a bit out of the way, and while it wasn’t in the heart of the city, it was in a fantastic location. An easy 10 minute walk to Westminster tube along the Albert Embankment with a nice little coffee shop along the way. Extremely easy to get a cab outside the door and bus stops across the street. A small market a few blocks down had all the basics.
We took advantage of the car service as it was more economical for a family of four, plus after an overnight flight it was nice not to stress about getting to the flat. We were greeted by a London Connections rep who let us in and showed us everything about the flat. The building was very secure, and very quiet other than normal city noises.
The flat offered everything that you possibly could need. My one suggestion would be to put a mirror over the dresser in master bedroom for styling hair as there is an outlet there. The English bathroom design always allows for razors, but not blow dryers in bathroom. I’d also suggest removing desk in small bedroom and replacing it with a dresser.
But those two tiny negatives were definitely minor and had little impact on our stay. The best part of our stay was the fact that we were able to watch the sun setting over Parliament from our living room. Talk about afraid for a beautiful picture!
Our kids are already asking if we can return to this flat next year!
Thank you very much for your review. We're glad you enjoyed the location of the property and its conveniences. Our London staff has been made aware of your suggestions, thank you. We hope you will return to stay with us again!
Perfect for our family with a spectacular view!
This apartment was perfect for our family of four adults and two teenagers in many ways. It provided the needed beds with linens and towels, necessary bathroom facilities (3 showers), had a well-stocked kitchen with washer and dryer, two televisions, plenty of outlets, and had a spectacular view of London! We appreciated the security of the building as well.
What was most convenient was the quick availability of buses right outside the door which whisked us off to Tube and railroad stations. The nearby grocery store and three pubs were within 15 walking minutes. With the buses, we were within 5 minutes of two major Tube stations. We found that taxis were plentiful at all hours.
We enjoyed the Tower of London, a Thames River cruise stopping off at the Royal Observatory at Greenwich, the Harry Potter Warner Brothers set at Watford, Churchill War Rooms, Highclere Castle, the Hop On/Hop Off bus tours, Westminster Abbey, and the London Eye.
Gus did a wonderful job of introducing us to the apartment. The apartment was immaculate and well-maintained. We had driver pick-up and return to the airport which was extremely convenient. We also hired a driver for an early morning trip to Kings Cross Station to catch the Eurostar train to Paris for a day trip which alleviated worry transporting six passengers at that time of the day.
The apartment complex was extremely quiet. The other tenants were courteous, and the entire complex was clean and well-maintained. We felt safe in and around the complex including the surrounding neighborhood.
We will return to this property and highly recommend it.
Thank you very much for your review. We are glad to hear that you had a wonderful time in London and enjoyed the close proximity of transportation, grocery store and pubs, as well as the security and comfort of the property.
Very nice flat
We enjoyed our time in London, and this flat allowed us enough space to fit our family of 5 comfortably. It is in excellent condition and had everything we looked for during our stay. The washer/dryer was helpful. It was great to have two bathrooms. The staff for London Connection was helpful and responsive throughout.
The only negatives:
There is no window covering in the living area, so in the evenings you have no privacy. Because of the positioning of the flat within the building, anyone driving/walking on the road in front of the building, as well as other flats within the building, can see directly into the living space.
We were visiting during some very cold weather and we weren’t able to adjust the thermostat beyond a pre-set temperature, so we had some chilly evenings.
Otherwise, a fantastic choice especially if you’re traveling with older children.
Thank you very much for your review. We're glad that you enjoyed London and the conveniences of the property, as well as the service you received.
We've rented this particular flat for twelve years and this is the first time we've received feedback regarding the front window.
Though we understand privacy concerns, we've always felt that the window coverings in the bedrooms have provided sufficient privacy, and that it would be a shame to obscure the wonderful view of the Houses of Parliament, River Thames and the city of London.
Great flat and great location
You could spend your vacation here just looking at the view and people watching from the huge picture window. But the location is so good for tourism that you have to take advantage of it. We stayed for 9 nights and wanted to stay longer. Plenty of space in the bedrooms, kitchen and living area. Very convenient to buses going in all directions. It’s a walk to a Tube station but you don’t want to see London from the inside of a black tunnel anyway. It was walkable to several sites including Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the Imperial War Museum. And a very short bus ride from St. James square and Buckingham Palace. We walked to the Corner Cafe and Regency Cafe several times. We will rent again next time.
Thank you very much for your review! We are glad you had a wonderful stay in London and enjoyed the property and it's close location to transportation and popular locations.
Terrific location and great layout for family of 5
Wonderful experience - we used the airport pickup (family of 5 so cheaper than train), the flat was perfect for our family of 5 and location was amazing. Highly recommend this place and we will look forward to using it again when we get back to London.
Thank you very much for your review. We're glad you enjoyed the airport pickup service as well as the location of the property. Look forward to having you return!
Great location and spacious
This apartment was perfect for our party of 3 adults and 2 teens. It is as pictured, with great views of Parliament, although the view of Big Ben is partially covered by trees, and only visible if you stand all the way to the left of the window. It is in a great location, close to Westminster, London Eye, and Buckingham Palace. We walked to Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, and Covent Garden. We took Uber for further away sites, since it was more convenient and cheaper than paying for metro or bus for 5 people. The river cruise to Greenwich and the Royal Observatoty on the Thames Clipper from London Eye Pier was lovely, passing under Millennium bridge and Tower Bridge. Buy tickets using the MBNA Thames Clipper app (was 26 pounds for the 5 of us). You can also download their free in:flow app to get an audio tour of the sites you pass. Note that children up to age 15 get discounts for most sites. It was nice to come back to the apartment at night and spread out, rather than being in a hotel room. Having a kitchen for eating breakfast in, and being able to do laundry were convenient. The kitchen was well stocked, except it was missing a spatula. The only negative was the mattress in the master bed was uncomfortable-it had no firmness, and I could feel the springs. Otherwise, I would give it 5 stars.
