ACCEPTING BOOKINGS FOR SUMMER 2017 IN JAN 2017
Welcome to Maple Leaf Lodge. Located two hours outside of Seattle near the north shore of Lake Wenatchee, our family mountain retreat is private. spacious and comfortable. The pool is open seasonally from Memorial Day until Sept 20 (opening and closing dates are firm). The six person hot tub is open for your enjoyment year round.
Our two story vacation home sits in a quiet neighborhood on an acre of property. Inside is a casual, comfortably furnished home. Off street parking in our large driveway accommodates many cars and has room for a boat trailer or RV. Two spaces under the deck are covered, so no need for scraping car windows in the winter.
Entering the home on the lower level, you will find a small family room with wood stove, a large bedroom with queen bed, a full bathroom, and a laundry room with full sized washer and dryer, ski storage and a boot dryer. Upstairs, the main open plan living space has its own wood stove. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a large dining table. The covered front deck extends the living area outdoors in the summer and has a propane BBQ and picnic table for dining al fresco. The master suite feels private and features a king size bed, bathroom with shower and french doors that open up to the rear deck and back yard. The second upstairs bedroom, has a cozy feel with wainscot walls and is adjacent to the second full bathroom.
Outside is where the real fun is. The 20' X 36' pool has plenty of room for the whole gang with a diving board and ladder on the deep end and a set of stairs leading into the shallow end. The water is heated to a comfortable 82 degrees. Large trees in the yard and surrounding properties keep the pool pleasantly shaded for most of the afternoon. Lounge chairs are available for your relaxation on the poolside patio. A six person hot tub is located on the covered back deck and is open year round. A simple stone fire pit in the back yard is a fun place to gather and roast marshmallows on warm summer evenings.
Summer activities abound. World class hiking and mountain biking trails take you to beautiful alpine waterfalls and lakes. You'll find rock climbing, rafting, kayaking, boating, fishing, golf, dirt biking, river tubing and sightseeing in the immediate vicinity or within a 30 minute radius.
In the winter, this home is a skier's paradise. Located only 30 minutes from Steven's Pass Ski Resort, you won't miss first tracks. For variety, Mission Ridge Ski and Snowboard Resort is an 80 minute drive East. Sledding hills, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and snowmobile trails are easily found in local Lake Wenatchee snow parks.
If you're not the adventure type, a 30 minute drive to Leavenworth Bavarian Village will amuse you with unique shopping, restaurants, brew pubs and wine tasting. There always seems to be a festival going on in the town. Don't miss Leavenworth Oktoberfest, and in December the Christmas tree lighting is spectacular!
With the bedroom arrangements, this house works well for three couples. It is also quite family friendly. The finishes and decor are clean and comfortable, not fussy. For your baby's comfort, we have a pack and play, portable high chair and baby gate available for your use.
We sincerely hope you enjoy your time at our vacation retreat!
I moved to the Seattle area some 25 years ago from Toronto, Canada and stayed because I fell in love with the natural beauty of the area and the outdoorsy culture.
Laura Johnson purchased this house in 2006
I am crazy about the mountains and outdoor activities and this home provides my family with great access to everything we like to do, particularly downhill skiing and hiking.
The swimming pool was a huge draw for me in buying this particular vacation home. I knew I wanted something in the Lake Wenatchee area for its access to Steven's Pass and all the other activities my family enjoys, but when I saw the pool, I was hooked. I grew up with a pool and have fond memories of pool parties and BBQ's and was excited about having a place where I could give similar experiences to my own children.
Spent a weekend here with another family to run Leavenworth Oktoberfest half-marathon. This is a great house that is close to everything that matters - outdoors, Leavenworth, etc. The house is clean and the kitchen is well equipped. A hot tub was a nice extra.
We love this location and its accommodations! This was our second summer vacation there and we're hoping to make it an annual event .
Enjoyed our stay here for the 2nd year in a row! Will be back next year! Came with one other family and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Backyard is private and surrounded by trees. Had two nights that we could enjoy the fire pit and making smores. (House even provideded the wood!) went for some beautiful runs along the lake. Campgrounds just a short ways down the road made it easy to rent kayaks and paddle boards for a day. Would highly recommend for families as kids have endless adventures outdoors!
The house was clean and well stocked. We happened to be there when it was hot thankfully we brought 2 fans and there were 2 supplied. The pool was clean and so much fun for all ages (65 to 4 in our group). The stars at night and the pines trees blowing in the breeze, who could ask for more! We hope to return someday.
Leavenworth was fun & a tubing trip was special. Best ice cream cones ever at the Wenatchee State Park Camp store.
It was truly a wonderful trip in a beautiful area.
Every one loved it. We were so surprised. It was very nice. Every room was perfect. We brought a lot of stuff from home which was left in the car, everything that we always use was there for us as if they knew all of our wants and needs. Wow. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of that wonderful feeling. The pool was immaculate. The hot tub perfect. The porch was nice to just sit and watch everyone. A lot of fun around the fire pit. I hate to say I would recommend this because we would never be able to get in again it will be taken up all the time now. We could not believe our luck. We wanted a home away from home but with nothing but fun and that is exactly what we got. Thank you. Mary & Terena
This home had everything we needed for a getaway weekend from Seattle. It was clean, with comfortable beds and had plenty of space for the family to spread out. The pool and diving board were thrilling to my three year old who didn't want to leave. It's a bit of a drive to Leavenworth (30 min) so keep that in mind if you plan on dining out there often. We will return.
Located near Lake Wenatchee, 30 minutes from the bavarian village of Leavenworth and 30 minutes from Steven's Pass Ski Resort, this lodge provides easy access to year round outdoor activity. The winter months bring alpine and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and sledding. Access to Lake Wenatchee State Park is less than a mile from the house. A trip in to Leavenworth Bavarian Village to enjoy shopping, great food, brew pubs and wineries is a must when visiting the area.
