Welcome to our fabulous Green Lake neighborhood! Our newly remodeled flat is located just two blocks (five minute stroll) away from beautiful Green Lake, which offers the opportunity for any number of recreational activities, including a 2.8-mile loop for walking, biking, running, or skating. There are boat and bike rentals, stand up paddle boards, a children’s wading pool, basketball courts, a theater, fields, a skate park, and an indoor swimming pool. You can hike into the adjoining Woodland Park, where the rose garden and Woodland Park Zoo reside.

Our rental is your home away from home. It is ideal for work and play. Remodeled in the summer of 2013, it is bright and welcoming! A few features include a fully equipped kitchen which provides you with an easy and enjoyable cooking experience featuring granite counters, stainless appliances, microwave, blender, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster and common spices. The bathroom has a heated floor and a surround glass shower door. Off to the side in an alcove are the washer and dryer. The bedroom has a luxurious queen size bed and plenty of storage space. The air-conditioned livingroom boasts a sleeper couch, flat screen TV and access to free Wi Fi and Dish TV. Outside behind the flat you will find your own patio with a gas grill. We have included picnic materials for either your outside B-B-Q or to take to the many parks for a picnic. Parking is free and always available.

About Steve and Terry

We first met in India in 1987 while backpacking. In 1990 we married, bought our house and started a family. We took many trips with our children to Africa, Thailand, Cambodia, Peru, India and Europe. Now that our kids are in college and beyond, we spend our time running, hiking and travelling.

Why Steve and Terry chose Seattle

We love our neighborhood for many reasons. We are so close to Green Lake and other running routes. All of our activities are walkable, and the freeways are close enough when we need them. The number 16 bus is around the corner and takes us to the Art Museum and Symphony downtown as well as the Chihuly Glass Museum at Seattle Center. On a whimsical day, we may walk to the zoo and explore the Fremont neighborhood.

What makes this apartment unique

It's nice to be able to walk almost everywhere we go, yet an hour's drive gets us into the mountains.

Newly remodeled, we paid attention to details.

Our perfect home away in Seattle, once again. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We recently came back to Tangletown and this perfect home away for our third time. Years ago we started visiting our son in Seattle and now two of our three adult kids live there. When we visit we stay for 3-4 weeks. When we visit we always want to stay in this "impeccably appointed flat in the perfect location." It is just as advertised. Extremely clean and well stocked. Comfortable (even on some winter days that never saw 40). Quiet. Unobtrusive hosts who are there when you need them. Convenient to a great walkable neighborhood as well as Green Lake and all that surrounds it. Public transportation is a breeze. And the dedicated parking space is a real plus if you have a car. But mostly we rely on Uber. Search around if you like. I'm a shopper too, but I doubt you will find anything better than this rental.

Very clean and modern! Perfect for a short stay in a hip part of Seattle!

The apartment was newly updated and very clean! Parking is tight in the neighborhood and this caused a few problems but the owners were very friendly and helpful! The neighborhood is very trendy and is a lovely walk away from a beautiful lake!

Quiet location

Our stay was very nice. The basement apartment was clean an quiet. Location was great for wandering around the the whole area north of Seattle with a close and easy drive into the city.

We would highly recommend this location.

This is a real gem

Very clean, very well designed and well appointed lower level apartment with separate entrance in a quiet neighborhood close to coffee and donuts! This place is absolutely wonderful with a comfortable bed and room to relax, a spacious shower, fabulous kitchen and all the amenities including laundry facilities. Steve and Terry are thoughtful and responsive: they left wine, pellegrino, chocolate and flowers for us upon arrival and they even emailed us about parking spaces one night! We will definitely return - this is a gem.

Lovely apartment

We recently spent 9 days at the Green Lake apartment. The place is very roomy, comfortable, and quite well equipped. The bed was comfortable, as well as the furniture in the living room.

Parking is so convenient as there is a designated parking area right in front of the house.

We really did appreciate the washer/dryer - that made it so nice not to have to pack dirty clothes.

The location, about 2 or so blocks from Green Lake is very convenient - we walked around the lake everyday which is always a fun way to burn off a few of the calories from the wonderful food we had.

Speaking of which, there are quite a few good restaurants within walking distance to the apartment, a few I would recommend are Elysian Bar on 55th Street; Burgundian; and for something a little different, we enjoyed lunch at The Himalayan Sherpa House on 56th Street.

The owners, Terry and Steve, are lovely people and were more than willing to advise and help us if needed.

Cozy and comfortable

We spent a very comfortable week at Steve's and Terry's rental in Tangletown in early August and were very pleased with the accommodation. Steve and Terry were away during our visit but Gemma made us feel at home. The rental is accurately portrayed on the Homeaway website - clean, well-equipped, well-furnished. We appreciated the coffee, bottle of wine, chocolate, and flowers that were provided, not to mention the pick your own apples in the front yard. The location was great for exploring Seattle and environs (Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park, Whidbey Island, etc.). We never had a problem parking on the street directly in front of the property. We did not use public transportation and were able to easily explore Seattle by car, for the most part with only moderate difficulty finding parking. (Traffic, on the other hand, was often congested and delays were frequent.) There are several decent restaurants within walking distance or a very short drive away. There is a good supermarket around 1 mile away. (A couple of minor caveats - folks with mobility issues may have some difficulty with the steps and uneven footing in the front yard. Although there is no dining area per se, a fold-up dining table and chairs are provided. We made do with the seats at the eating counter.) We were pleased to have found this rental and will certainly consider staying here again if we return to Seattle.
