About Rex Cook

We currently live in California, and always look forward to spending time here in Oro Valley. We enjoy being active in such a beautiful environment; can't get enough of the warm evenings, monsoon lightning, birds, lizards, and quiet! We have loved Arizona since we met here 30 years ago (one Californian and one Missourian). Now, with family in Tucson, this is our home away from home.

Rex Cook purchased this house in 2013

Why Rex Cook chose Oro Valley

We love the location here close to our family, close to the Catalinas (for her) and to golf (for him). Our neighbors here are so friendly!

What makes this house unique

The view from the back yard and the open space behind the house are what we love about it.

The perfect getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our Arizona vacation! We couldn't have asked for more. The home was comfortable and the location was extremely convenient to activities and shopping. The neighborhood was beautiful and peaceful. All of this, plus a stunning view of the mountains from the pool. Perfect!

We enjoyed our stay here. Searching the area for retirement options, Rex and Nicki's place provided a respite. Loved the friendly neighbors and the mountain views. Highly recommended!

Very nice!

  • 5 of 5

We were in Tucson house hunting and the location of this home was perfect for us as it was central to the areas we were looking into. We used the pool every night and BBQ'd often during our 2 week stay. Very quiet neighborhood!

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

This was our 4th year staying at this lovely place! We were thrilled to have a bobcat wander through the backyard one day and also a visit from a Gila monster! We so enjoy this home and the tranquility, just what we need to recharge our batteries. Thank you Rex and Nicki for everything you do to ensure your guests feel at home! Looking forward to next years stay.

Awesome home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

This vacation home has everything you could possibly need on vacation. It has three different ways to make coffee! Being a native Seattle person, this is important! There were quality linens, all kinds of towels, sunscreens, skin lotions, teas, a high end telescope, an enormous barbeque, a gas cooktop, very comfortable bed, and even a dominoes game. The view of the mountains is amazing. A variety of wild birds visiting every day - roadrunners, quail, cardinals, doves, scarlet tanagers, and a tiny resident rabbit. Very quiet and relaxing. Recommend Cafe Torrino for the best Italian food outside of Italy!

Great time in AZ

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the rental home. Everything was very nice and well kept up. We especially enjoyed the "extras" like games we had forgotten to bring, scrabble, dominoes etc. We also appreciated the owners mindfulness of recycling and extra bags so we didn't have to waste plastic. We walked, biked, climbed mountains and just enjoyed the sunshine! Thanks for the wonderful home you shared.
