Definitely will get your head right at the Orlandino cabin.
Couldn’t be happier with this area and cabin. Modern in the front with a drive n theater, vistas to the south with cattle ranches in between. Inside rustic feeling and spectacular views from each window. Well the back is where you get your mind right. Peaceful, easy feeling that won’t let you down. Babbling brook loaded with brookies, until our pup Grace spooked them into hiding. Forest has eyes and tails all day and night.
Best kept secret for sure. We will consider booking it again and may look in this area down the road to relocate/retirement. Plenty of outdoor activity throughout the year. Surely our grandkids will love it.

Clean, comfortable and well-stocked kitchen and house with beautiful views and easy access to town.
Anthony set me up beautifully for a relaxing respite from a long and tiring winter. Buena Vista was a terrific town to explore with good food and spirits, and friendly locals.
I would gladly stay here again and bring friends. The house is large and modern, with an outdoor grill, picnic table and wooden rocking chairs. There is a short trail down a hill to a creek down that is musical; it was a very special place to just sit and spend time doing nothing.
Thank you, Anthony, for having me as a guest in your home. I hope to return someday.
Perfect in every way.
Wonderful, clean and comfortable home. The creek out in the back, the game room, kitchen and beds were great. Close to amazing hiking and hot springs. Hope to visit again!
A wonderful getaway w/ beautiful scenery in Buena Vista
We stayed a few nights at this property in March ‘18 and it was truly wonderful. The house was in excellent condition upon arrival, very clean, and very well taken care of. Nothing felt sub-par or in need of repair.
The rooms were very spacious as described. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed to cook several meals.
Our favorite part was perhaps the creek and woods down behind the house. The photos don’t do it justice, but it’s a great place to walk, explore, and relax. Tons of wildlife comes right up to the house and the views from the front step are unrivaled.
We had a wonderful visit and can’t wait to make it back. Couldn’t recommend more.
Perfect and beautiful location.
Very impressed! Beautiful views!
Very cute home with beautiful views. Loved the creek with the swing & benches. Very peaceful and well maintained! The game room was a big hit with the kids. We loved everything about it!
Buena Vista, Spanish for “good view,” is nestled at the foot of the Continental Divide. It is the sort of community most people only dream of. The hardworking, quiet people who have always resided in this area are a large part of what has made this town a great place to live and play, from rafting and fishing to hiking, biking and much more. The Comanche Drive-In Movie Theater is open during the summer months and is located right across the road from our home The Chaffee County Regional Airport is located southwest of town. (Note that if you're hiking in the nearby Sawatch Mountains, which are convenient to Buena Vista, there are many viewpoints from which you can watch planes on the approach to this airport below you.) Buena Vista is located approximately 94 miles west of Colorado Springs and is reached from there via west on Hwy. 24 to Hwy 285 and then north for approximately two miles. It's just a two-hour drive from western metro Denver via US 285. Hike, bike, fish, raft, kayak. Basecamp and provisioning stop for through-hikers on the Continental Divide Trail and Colorado Trail. Also attracts off-road enthusiasts in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter exploring old mining ghost towns and trails west of town and the Fourmile Recreation Area east of town. Enjoy soaking in geothermal hot springs at kid-friendly Mount Princeton Resort. Cottonwood Hot Springs is just 1/2 mile from our home. Alpine skiing: perhaps surprisingly, there are no major ski areas in the Sawatch Range itself. The nearest resort is Monarch Mountain southwest of town near Salida and Poncha Springs. It's one of Colorado's more 'family'-oriented ski areas, with a number of fairly easy slopes and maybe not as many double-diamond adventures as at some other sites. Bigger destination resorts such as Copper Mountain is an hour north via US 24 over well-maintained Fremont Pass and Vail is just a tad further west on I-70. Breckenridge is 1-1/2 hours away via US 285 to Fairplay then head north over Hoosier Pass. Backcountry ski touring and snowshoeing is also popular. Colorado Kayak Supply CKS, one of the country's top-selling paddlesports shops is on Main Street. The Trailhead has all kinds of land lubber outdoor equipment gear rentals and sales plus outdoor clothing, maps, basically anything you forgot to pack for your trip. Both shops have knowledgeable sales staff who live, eat and breathe a steady diet of outdoor adventure and are happy to share tips and advice. For more information please feel free to call or email.
