…..Live like a Local! Experience what it feels like to be a New Orleanian.

Location, location no car required. In fact, you might not ever move your car once you park. You are walking distance to the St Charles Streetcar and Magazine bus line. Located almost equally distant between Audubon Park and the French quarter right in the garden district.

The house is a charming shotgun right the Garden District. Fourteen foot ceiling, refinished 100 year old hardwood floors. A traditional New Orleans Shotgun, means that it is a walk through apartment. Best for one or two couples. This is my Atelier. It's a fully furnished short term rental apartment. Eclectic furniture. It has one queen sized bed and a sleeper sofa as well as a single sleeper and a queen size futon. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need. You can walk to the Big Fisherman on Magazine Street to buy boiled crawfish. Invite your friends to your own Crawfish boil.

In the Garden District with shops and restaurants you’ll love right outside the door. Clothing, art galleries, design within Reach, Mahoney's Poboys and many more. Our local Breaux Mart grocery store is just around the block, and a several coffee shops close by for your morning coffee with chicory, or Slim Goodie's diner for breakfast. Really dozen's of restaurants a stones throw away. Cafes, bars etc.

Bestest Place Evah!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for several days in the Spring. Some of the best family memories were made on this trip and in this great place. Sid was awesome and the place was AMAZING. A family of 4 fit perfectly and the location could not have been more ideal. If only we could have bottled up the smell that woke us up every morning- Freshly boiled crawfish from the market next door- Mmmmmmmm.

Absolute Perfection

  • 5 of 5

To put it simply, this property is exactly what you need if you're with 5 or less people. Sidney is also incredibly accommodating and keeps the place looking spruced up with a charm that's hard to match.

Great location, as it's in the quaint Garden District but not far from some local restaurants and bars, this place is perfect. So happy with my stay. Thanks, Sid!!

Awesome place

  • 5 of 5

This VRBO is perfect for a couple or a couple friends. It's is literally right off Magazine street near lots of shopping and eating. The street car is just a couple blocks away. If your looking to hang out on bourbon it's a quick cab ride away. Cabs can be a bit of a challenge sometimes so make sure you call ahead. Sid made it very easy for check in and out. It is also next door to a grocery mart and Walgreens so if you forgot anything you can walk over and get what you need. It was a nice stress free little get away. We will be back to stay again. Thank you Sid!!!

Right Off the Best Part of Magazine Street!

  • 5 of 5

With this spacious, funky shotgun house, it really is all about the location. Sid's place is right off an incredible part of Magazine Street, which is filled with amazing shops, bars, and restaurants. There's also a grocery store right across the street, so you can literally roll out of bed for any provisions you might need in the kitchen (although who wants to cook when visiting New Orleans?). You can easily walk over to St. Charles to hop on the street car, and the French Quarter and Central Business District are just a short drive away. The house is definitely a bit funky (inside and out!) and has a lived-in feel, but everything was tidy and Sid was very responsive to our questions and needs. Our only real complaint was that every drawer was filled with the owners clothing, etc, so there was really only hanging space for our clothing. The bed was quite comfortable, but the furniture was pretty basic. There's a wonderful, long table in the dining area that's perfect for reading the morning paper, or even spreading out to do a bit of work. You'll also find an extraordinarily eclectic collection of books! What Sid says is true -- this really is an authentically local place to stay; we'd rent it again.
