We are a retired couple, from Houston, Texas who fell in love with Cabo San Lucas and are now living and enjoying this great town.
Betsy Grosman purchased this apartment in 2009
We bought this property because its location is the perfect spot to chill out and relax.
This unit is a little hiding spot in the midst of downtown Cabo. Although in the center of town, you feel a unique quietness and ability to sit back, relax, and enjoy.
Overall, the pluses outweigh the negatives. A plus is that the apartment is centrally located, but with that comes a lot of traffic noise. You can walk anywhere in central Cabo from here and there are some great restaurants right in the neighbourhood. The backyard pool area is lovely and shaded and lemons drop at your feet for food prep. The pool is big enough to swim small laps and so refreshing. To get to the pool area, you need to exit your gate on the street and enter the owner's gate - a minor inconvenience, but does mean you can't just pop in and out. The front patio is large and shaded and has beautiful plants. The rear patio is small but offers a tiny slice of ocean and beautiful sunrises. The views of the hills are spectacular, front and back. The hot water and pressure is very good. There were four of us and I'd say that's the limit. It was great to have two full washrooms. I had to buy quite a few things for the kitchen (pot, serving dishes, cutlery, etc. Also, I bought a French press because the coffee maker only makes two cups.) and a tiny investment in updated cookware would go a long way. There are some things which should simply be tossed. The washer and dryer are state of the art and were great to have. The indoor space could use some TLC, and again, I think a minor investment in some patching and fresh curtains, etc. would go a long way. One great thing is that the house is consistently cool because of the trees and we never had to use the AC, even on the hottest days. There is a cross-breeze and there are fans throughout. A house manual would be helpful. I will email Betsy some suggestions, based on my numerous questions - I felt like I was bugging Betsy (she was always gracious and responded quickly) with common questions that could be answered in a couple of pages left at the apartment. A map with key locations in the neighbourhood would be good too. There is a small but lovely organic market on Saturdays and Wednesdays practically across the street and that was a lovely bonus. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place, but the nester in me would love to make a few inexpensive domestic adjustments. We were very happy here and Betsy and her daughter were very helpful and pleasant. A couple of notes: there are two dogs. They are well behaved and have their own fenced-in area. There are steps in between rooms so if you have visual impairment or mobility problems, this may present a challenge.
We really enjoyed the privacy of our own pool.Street out in front was a little busy but not to much of a problem. And we liked having the little store near by.
Property was well maintained, and the property was very clean. The location was convenient for walking to downtown with our 12 and 14 year old kids. If we had any questions, Betsy got back to us right away with an answer, definitely within 24 hours. We felt very safe around the property. It was great to have the privacy of a condo with our own pool as opposed to a resort. Would definitely recommend this property to friends.
Had everything we needed, even our own secure parking spot for our rental car, we were very comfortable.
We enjoyed the privacy of the pool. The location is great we walked everywhere we wanted to go.
Stayed 2 weeks in November-December 2015. Easy walk to downtown Cabo San Lucas and Medano Beach. House had everything, private pool , gated, full kitchen, living room, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. Enjoyed our stay. Hosts were great. Only complaint( if you want to call it that ), is that it is on a busy corner , so there is some traffic noise. That aside, we would stay there again. Thanks , Betsy
