About the property

2500 sq ft of Durango style located 10 minutes from downtown & the ski resort

This is the absolute best combination of location, views, access to activities, comfort and style.

Our newly remodeled Durango home is a great place to call home base while enjoying all Durango has to offer. The home has an open-air lodge style feel with large windows and a huge wrap around deck that includes a brand new Jacuzzi. The house & deck overlook the Animas Valley to the east where the beautiful James Ranch settles below. The orientation of the home provides outstanding red cliff sunset views. The first floor consists of the bright and airy kitchen, a large living/dining area, a comfortable office/study, a conveniently located powder room, laundry room, and a spacious master suite with full bath including an over-sized bath tub for soaking after a long day of fun. Upstairs is the guest bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed and lots of room for storing your clothing & gear. The other bedroom has a bunk bed consisting of a full bed on bottom and twin bed on top, plus another twin bed in here. This room connects to a super-cool bonus room! Watch movies, play video games, or just hang out in this room- perfect for kids & adults. It hosts huge bean bag chairs and a full-sized futon. Just like a cozy cave!

Highly recommend!

This is a great house for a great price. We easily fit two families of four. House was clean and stocked. View was fantastic and we spent a lot of time on the patio in the mornings and evenings. Perfect location... great proximity for groceries, eating out, shopping, jeeping, horseback riding... all with nice private patio and home at the end of the day. Brian was always available and always helpful.

Loved this house!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous time staying here. The house was just as good or better than the pictures. The location was perfect as well. The house care taker was local and very helpful. I sure hope I get to return someday soon.

Beautiful views and a terrific value for our family! We will definitely book again. Lynne Halfin

The outdoor living area was wonderful!! Both adults and kids used the large hot tub almost every night. The home was well stocked and very clean. The photos provide an excellent representation of the property and Brian was quick to answer emails which was much appreciated. The only negative comment would be the bright sunlight in the morning and the lack of water pressure if both showers are used at the same time. There weren't any window coverings on the upper windows. If you are an early riser, this isn't an issue at all, but if you're not, this is slightly annoying.

Truly, Durango was one of our best family vacations and Tom's home was a big factor!

Great view and good accomodations!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here. The deck offered great views of the surrounding mountains and the covered area was very nice for eating outside. The living area was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The only drawback was that the upstairs did not stay cool in the daytime heat, but did cool down nicely in the evening when we could open the windows.

The deck was stunning. The inside of the house was roomy and perfect fit.

Our only complaint was that the house was a little dirty. All beds and bathrooms were clean but the floor was not. This presented a problem only because we had little babies crawling around. Otherwise the house was perfect.

Beautiful Property!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this property was absolutely wonderful. The house is beautiful, the views are outstanding, location is perfect and we loved having the Durango train chug by each day. The only drawback was some road noise from highway 550 which is directly below the property. I didn't want to deduct any stars because the property is so nice, but I think people should be aware.
