The streamside setting of the cabin with it's large deck overlooking the peaceful flow of the trout stream, below,
provides a marvelous deeply wooded setting for family vacationers and those seeking a restful respite, as well.
The cabin's proximity to some of the finest hiking/biking trails in the nation, 60 miles of kayaking/canoeing water (Pine Creek 3 miles away) plus a variety of the nation's finest trout fishing waters within 30 minutes, makes this an ideal site for a home-away-from-home. It could be used as a year-round residence.
We had a great time at the Bear Cabin! Beautiful views of the creek. Nice drive to Pa Grand Canyon overlooks. Close to Wellsboro. Nice fire pit too! We would definitely come back!
Great cabin with nice views of the creek which the kids fished and played in.
Didn't get to see any bears but hopefully we will next time!!
The property was as advertised and expected, a little cabin by the stream. It was clean and ready when agreed upon. The owner was very responsive to emails and even gave us suggestions of things to see and do with our kids in the area complete with excellent directions. We had a wonderful time. The caretaker met us upon arrival, opened up the cabin for us and even helped unload a few items from our van. He told us of the local animals that may visit us and while we didn't see any of the Bears we did watch the Blue Heron visit and fish from the stream several times each day. The kids enjoyed throwing rocks in the water from the bank of the stream and the swing is lovely to sit on and bird watch. Hummingbirds came and went from the feeder on the deck.
A tiny getaway in a cute cabin neighborhood.
Was exactly what we wanted. Great location, clean and can't wait to go back
AWESOME PLACE !!! The cabin is located on an excellent area, loved the creek right in front of the property, and my kids loved the playground area, spent the evenings on the swings, which was a great surprise for us because is not included on the description. The property is well maintained and there is plenty of activities to choose from: LOTS of fishes, many places to go for a swim (you can pick from the lake at 10 mins from the cabin, or the river at 20 mins), bike and hike trails, we got to see eagles, turtles, deer, hedgehogs, birds and many more creatures that we ever seen before. The scenic views are AWESOME!! (Either day and night). It is such a good place, that, the stress from the city was gone away on the first day. The owner was very helpful accommodating our stay, despite the short notice on a holiday (4th of July), and the manager of the property was very kind and friendly, always on hand for any need that we may had. Both were really pending of everything since day one (they both called me to give me recommendations and directions for the cabin) IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! If you are looking for the perfect getaway on the mountains, this is the place to be, definitely!! I already recommended it to my friends and family.
