About Cathy Reiss

We originally bought this as a vacation home, and fell in love with the area so much that we moved here full time.

We love to share this magical area. We are originally from the San Francisco area, and gave up the high tech life to live in what we call paradise.

Cathy Reiss purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Cathy Reiss chose Ten Mile Lakes

Located within minutes of Lakeside, this location is private and peaceful.

What makes this cabin unique

Tenmile Lakes is home to great fishing and water sports.

Bass Tournaments are held here from February through November. Coho Salmon enter the lake through Tenmile Creek from Mid October through December. Steel-head also enter the lake to spawn from January through March. If you love to fish, this is the place.

Summer temperatures are pleasant, ranging from high 50's to high 70's. Winter temps are from 40's to 60's.

Absolutely Amazing!!

  • 5 of 5

Overall a great experience! Cabin and property were both as listed, great condition, very peaceful and serene. The owners are awesome - very nice people, friendly, helpful, responsive. We rented a boat from the marina, took it to the cabin, and had a wonderful week. Caught plenty of fish right from the dock. There are 3 kayaks to use (one tandem), and our 3 year old daughter LOVED riding in the kayak with us, exploring, and searching for wildlife. House was well stocked and as advertised - there was firewood to use, propane BBQ on the deck (with a BEAUTIFUL view of the lake and surrounding area), utensils and basic kitchen supplies, DVD library, etc. Wi-fi was also recently installed, along with a Roku box to the TV, so we were able to catch up on some Netflix at night. We stayed in mid-September, and the weather was great - foggy and cool mornings, sunny warm afternoons. The lake was very quiet, and quite beautiful. Although there is plenty to do in the nearby areas, we had plenty of fun just staying at the cabin - fishing, playing, and relaxing the days away. We'll definitely be back!!!

Wonderful Time

  • 5 of 5

We found Ringo's Hideaway to be exactly as represented. The owners were friendly and easy to visit with. The house was exactly as the pictures showed. Nothing better that sitting on the deck, looking at the lake as the sun sets. We were thankful for the supply tram up the hill, they weren't kidding about the steps. I loved having a boat house for our boat, it meant a dry seat in the morning!

Thanks to Cathy and Ringo for sharing their lovely place.,

Beautiful spot, great for kids!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 8 days here with our family, kids age 9 and 5. The place was perfect! We could fish and swim and kayak, all without leaving home. The house is cute and well appointed, and there is nothing more relaxing than a fire, at dusk, by the lake. If you want to leave the lake, there are good day trips, like botanical gardens and the Oregon Dunes, and the ocean is not far. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. My daughter forgot something of value to her, and they found it and mailed it to us.

Just Perfect

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to this wonderful property. Again the hosts were friendly and inviting. The cabin is even nicer than before due to the recent remodel. It's still a climb to get up those stairs but the work earns the reward of quiet solitude and views that can't be explained. Cathy and Ringo have set a standard I am sure will be tough for others to beat. We had good luck fishing and sampled three different species during our stay. Those little Asian carp are quite tasty! Our time here was too short but we absolutely loved it. Thank you Cathy and Ringo.

Very nice, clean, best choice for vacation house

  • 5 of 5

This was the just a awesome place and experience. Very clean and nice home, they make it the best experience you can get, everything is there to enjoy, beds were clean and house was spotless, tons of fire wood for fires, lots board games and movies. Great fire works on the lake for July 2nd. Rented patio boat for the length our stay to make the experience that much better, they are so much help at the marina when we would come to park the boat and always really nice. Just awesome to stay at such a great place and what and experience to access house by boat only, easy to dock at boat house at property, lights all up steps to home by sensor so coming in late was no problem at all. We will definitely stay again. Thank you again Cathy and Ringo
