About Cathy Reiss

We originally bought this as a vacation home, and fell in love with the area so much that we moved here full time.

We love to share this magical area. We are originally from the San Francisco area, and gave up the high tech life to live in what we call paradise.

Cathy Reiss purchased this cabin in 2006

Amazing Time ~ New Memories

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful time we had. Everything was perfect for us. We took a nice long boat ride around the lake looking at other homes but Ringo's Hideaway has so much more to offer. We enjoyed our swimming hole, both fire pits, sunbathing lakefront, fishing in the boathouse & off the dock & kayaking. Night time was wonderful with the lake view deck at the cabin, listening to music & enjoying a nice bottle of wine. We had a couple of cold nights where we took advantage of the wood stove inside, played games & watched movies. Thank you Cathy & John for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. Your hospitality was awesome & made us feel like family!!

Perfect for a quiet getaway.

  • 5 of 5

We wanted a quiet clean cabin to get away and get in some fishing. Ringo's hideaway was perfect. Getting to and from the store was way easier than one would think. Being boat access only was easier than some of the road access other cabins provide. I would recommend to anybody. The stairs are kinda tough at night after a few drinks ;-)!

This property is unique and secluded with beautiful views.

  • 5 of 5

A great property to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. I had a nice comfy interior that has many of the creature comforts of a normal house, with the huge exception of a mass fish filled lake out the front door.

My trip was mostly a fishing trip. We rented a boat from the property owners at Ringos Marina and fished all day and reared by the fire at night. I even had a Largemouth on out on the socks.

They owners are top notch. Incredibly helpful for fishing information and quick and willing to help if there are issues.

I want to go back as soon as I can! It was a blast!

Absolutely Amazing!!

  • 5 of 5

Overall a great experience! Cabin and property were both as listed, great condition, very peaceful and serene. The owners are awesome - very nice people, friendly, helpful, responsive. We rented a boat from the marina, took it to the cabin, and had a wonderful week. Caught plenty of fish right from the dock. There are 3 kayaks to use (one tandem), and our 3 year old daughter LOVED riding in the kayak with us, exploring, and searching for wildlife. House was well stocked and as advertised - there was firewood to use, propane BBQ on the deck (with a BEAUTIFUL view of the lake and surrounding area), utensils and basic kitchen supplies, DVD library, etc. Wi-fi was also recently installed, along with a Roku box to the TV, so we were able to catch up on some Netflix at night. We stayed in mid-September, and the weather was great - foggy and cool mornings, sunny warm afternoons. The lake was very quiet, and quite beautiful. Although there is plenty to do in the nearby areas, we had plenty of fun just staying at the cabin - fishing, playing, and relaxing the days away. We'll definitely be back!!!

Wonderful Time

  • 5 of 5

We found Ringo's Hideaway to be exactly as represented. The owners were friendly and easy to visit with. The house was exactly as the pictures showed. Nothing better that sitting on the deck, looking at the lake as the sun sets. We were thankful for the supply tram up the hill, they weren't kidding about the steps. I loved having a boat house for our boat, it meant a dry seat in the morning!

Thanks to Cathy and Ringo for sharing their lovely place.,
