About Cathy Reiss

We originally bought this as a vacation home, and fell in love with the area so much that we moved here full time.

We love to share this magical area. We are originally from the San Francisco area, and gave up the high tech life to live in what we call paradise.

Cathy Reiss purchased this cabin in 2006

A charming and roomy cabin on an amazing lake.

  • 5 of 5

That describes it. I would add: the luggage tram is a kick; the TV/video-player could use some directions; kitchen well-stocked except for pans; and Cathy Reiss is an exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable host. I haven't researched it yet, but I would love to read a history of the Ten Mile Lakes, which I expect is a great story.

Fantastic time on the lake!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time during our stay. The house is clean and had everything we needed. We rented one of their boats and it was great. Very secluded and quiet Cathy and Ringo are wonderful people and were always quick to reply to my many questions. We saw deer on the property next door and bald eagles nesting across the lake. The kids enjoyed tubing and swimming right off the dock! We definitely want to come back! It's such a beautiful lake.

Very private and clean.

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is private, clean and well remodeled. There was plenty of wildlife to view. Daily we saw deer, osprey and even a bald eagle. Because of the lake access you feel like you are really away from it all even though the marina and grocery store are only a 5 minute boat ride away. I would recommend this as a great place to relax as well as enjoy the lakes.

An Amazing Experience

  • 5 of 5

For years, my husband and I had heard about houses that you could only get to by boat. We finally figured it out and we had the most fantastic time ever! The house, view, lake and fishing were great! Cathy and John were amazing too. We are going to make this a yearly trip!

Wow!

  • 5 of 5

I'm keeping this review short and sweet. It's fantastic.

The cabin, view, property, boathouse, everything is great.

The walk up isn't that bad. It's a good little workout.

I know I'll definitely be coming back.
