Property worked well for our Convention Trip in San Diego

  • 4 of 5

The property is a bit north of Little Italy, but made for a quick trip to the convention center each day. We had planned to use the Trolley, but with 4 people, Uber was more cost effective. The stay was comfortable for us, the converted garage bedrooms, one more comfortable than the other, have a very nice bath. The upstairs bedrooms work well. The Airport noise from the nearby planes coming in and out wasn't too bad. Much of San Diego has the same issue. This made more sense for us as a group versus staying in the nearby hotels. Would use it again.

Christmas retreat

  • 4 of 5

This was our family's first VRBO experience and we were not disappointed. We are starting a new tradition for our blended family who live in Texas, Arizona, and California. We've been to San Diego during Christmas in the past and knew this was where we wanted to spend quality family time with our grandchildren during zoo lights at San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park. The home is perfectly located near Little Italy also if you don't mind a little walking.

It had all the amenities which allowed me to bake and make a special meal and we absolutely enjoyed the views of the bay. The overall feel of being in a home was what I was going for and I was very pleased. The pool table was a special feature that my entire family enjoyed also.

Upon arrival, we did have a little trouble with opening the lock box but Linda came to the home quickly and was a great help. It was nice to meet her and then we realized it wasn't as difficult to open as we thought. I am eager to begin planning our next VRBO experience.

Great Central Location

  • 4 of 5

The home was very accommodating to our needs and allowed enough space so that the nine of us didn't feel that we were on top of one another all the time. The property is located in Little Italy and is close to the harbor, airport, and many great restaurants and attractions. We had a great week.

Perfect week in San Diego

  • 5 of 5

We were in San Diego to attend an industry conference, but loath staying in hotels. When we have three or more people from the company traveling together and stay at a hotel, it is anti-social as everyone retreats to their rooms. This was the perfect setup for us. Sleeping quarters were on the first and third floors, with the second floor as a common area (kitchen/living room) that was wide open. We were able to get together in the common area each morning for coffee and to game plan the day's activities. When we returned in the evening, we were able to sit and have a beer and debrief from the day at the conference.

Unfortunately, our schedule was so busy we were gone most of the day and didn't get to cook, either indoors or out. However, we did get to spend some time on the patio outside, which was magnificent. If you love watching airlines land at the airport, as we all do, it was pretty incredible to see these big birds come in over the trees and head in for landing.

The location could not have been better. Most nights, we just walked up the hill toward Fifth Ave. and found a place for dinner. Some incredible restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk, which was perfect for us. A couple of nights, we stopped on the way back from the Convention Center to eat in Little Italy, which had tons of outdoor seating in perfect weather.

The house was well stocked with essentials and check-in/check-out was easy. We expect to be attending this conference in coming years, so we will definitely be checking to see if the house is available again next year!

Nice house in convenient location. Clean and spacious with great amenities. Great view.

  • 4 of 5

We found the house was ideal for our three generations traveling together. Pool table and bunk beds a big hit! We found everything we needed to cook and eat comfortably and laundry was life saver. Easy access to public transport and nice walk into Little Italy and up the hill to Balboa Park. The last hill coming up from trolley line is intense, but doable. We felt we got our workouts!

Close to airport so there's a little noise from planes taking off, but not enough to be disturbing. Kids loved seeing planes so close coming in for landing. Made a game out of charting which ones came most often. Nice view out to the water.

Would recommend this house to my friends.

Very nice option in San Diego!

  • 5 of 5

A very nice option in San Diego!

The house is very comfortable and the location is great! Close to everything. Great views. Pretty tidy house. A very nice option for families in San Diego.

Linda is a very nice person and having the airport close by is an other benefit of the house.

Only one detail: the heater doesn’t work in the first floor as it does in the other two floors. I think this is because of the garage doors. The upper floors were very hot while in the bottom one we were not that warm.

Besides that, everything is very nice, comfortable and pretty. Thank you!
