Sweet little getaway in the hill country
I loved staying here! The house is super cute and relaxing. I spent my morning on the hammock in the back watching the sunrise. Would stay here again!
Relaxing cabin close to hill country attractions
Great stay at this cabin! Amy was really responsive with any questions I had. We were pleasantly surprised by how large the space was. Everything was really clean and inviting! Important to note that this cabin is very minimalist with limited furnishings but we were totally aware of that going in. The water did have a bit of a sulphur smell but a water filter was provided so drinking water tasted just fine. Really appreciated the considerate touches by the owner! Did have a bit of an awkward moment when a random woman tried to walk in to the cabin - I guess looking for a yoga class? Not sure… but luckily we had the doors locked. Overall, great cabin with a very zen atmosphere! If you’re looking for a place to lay your head while exploring the hill country - keep this place on your list!
Thanks for the kind and honest review! My sincere apologies for the "yoga student" at the door. That's never happened before to my knowledge! For future stays (we'd love to have you back!), I offer up on our house profile that you can close the property gate when occupying the home, so that hopefully won't happen again. Thanks for being understanding! And yes, this time of year, the well water can tend to have a slight sulphur smell if hot water is run for long, but all has been tested and is safe! Well water is very common in the area. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay - come again and tell your friends!
Loved it. Great hill county getaway.
The cutest little cabin!! Very clean and nice, we would definitely stay again!
Nice relaxing atmosphere close to everything in Dripping Springs.
Overall good experience. The minimal furnishings made the experience a little less than ideal. There wasn't anywhere to sit to eat despite having a full kitchen. This is fine if you're eating out every meal, but not great if you plan to utilize the kitchen. Also, it could have been better if there was somewhere other than the bed to sit to relax. It's a beautiful cabin with a nice open floorplan that would be even better with a few more furnishings.
Thank you for your stay and feedback! We intentionally advertise and describe our property as minimalistic. As listed, our main space is a yoga studio during the week - hence no sofa, etc. However, as you noticed, we do have barstools for eating, chair and ottomans in the bedroom, and outdoor seating as well. We intentionally keep our rates competitive for the minimalism aspect. Hope you’ll come again!
Great Place to Stay
Great location!! Short drive to breweries, wineries and restaurants. Amy was easy to work with and late check out is a plus.
