We decided to have a couples getaway with some close friends (8 total) and wanted to find a comfortable place to stay. Having a King suite per couple couldn’t have been better. There was plenty of seating, kitchen was stocked, and you could tell it was clean and well kept. We would not hesitate to stay here again; in fact we are hoping to make this an annual trip! Highly recommended!
Nice house to stay
We had a wonderful time! We were a family of 6 adults and 6 kids. This property easily accommodated all of us. The closeness to silver dollar allowed us to go back a couple of times. We couldn’t turn the main tv on right and Kristine was right there to help. Thank you! The screened in porch was very relaxing after our busy days. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. Plenty of room for the air mattresses provided. There was low water pressure upstairs showers but we worked around it. Raccoons did find there way up those tall polls and into a heavy container but someone must get up early to pick up their mess. People seemed to be on the top of it. My grandchildren liked the big moose head and called him Uncle Moose. The pool area was very nice as was the play area for my youngest grandchild. The road in front is steep but depending where and how you park your car wasn’t too much of a problem and my husband just had ankle surgery making walking harder for him but he managed.Someday we would like to come back and would recommend this place to others!
Very close to Silver Dollar City!
This was literally a couple of minutes away from Silver Dollar City. However, you pay for that convenience. We did prepare a lot of our food in the kitchen and used their electric grill on the screened-in balcony, so our food costs were lower by doing that. The place isn't as big as the photos make it out to be, and even though it may sleep 16, there weren't 16 chairs that everyone could sit on (7 around the dining table, three bar stools, a couch, a chair, and a rocking chair in the living room; the balcony had probably 6-8 places to sit, but it was outdoors.) The shower head in the upstairs right bedroom had little water flowing from it, but the other bathrooms were fine. Decor was very nice. Bedding was comfortable. Air conditioning (which you need in SW Missouri) kept the whole place very cool. Having a key code for the front door was much better that having to keep track of a key amongst all family members.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am glad that access to Silver Dollar City was so convenient to you! In regards to the 3 star rating for lodge size, I would like to point out that you actually broke our house rules by bringing more than the maximum allowed. Also, when you look at our pictures, they are pretty clear in that you can count the seating options available.
I hope that for future visits you are able to find a lodging solution that better fits your group size.
Fantastic cabin- beware if needing handicap parking
This was a wonderful cabin with the perfect amount of space for our family of 10 and the owner was WONDERFUL to work with and quick to respond with all our questions. We had 3 couples and 4 children in our group. Each couple had a bedroom and the 4 kids shared the 4th using the provided air mattresses. Everyone loved having their own bedroom and bathroom. We were also thankful for access to a washer and dryer. Two notes: 1. If you stay here, you may want to bring soap/body wash, we needed to make a trip to the store because the showers did not have any soap. 2. As much as we LOVED our stay, I give it four stars because of the parking. We picked this cabin based on the pictures and how it looked like you could just park by the handrail and walk right to the door without any stairs. My father is 72 and handicap. The parking by the walk way is very steep and makes the car slant drastically. My dad had a very hard time getting in and out of the car. There was no way we could park down where it was level and him be able to walk to the walk way. I mention this because we looked high and low for a cabin that could hold our group of 10 that would accommodate my handicap dad. If this is not a problem for you then the cabin is fantastic! If you have someone in your group that has physical limitations, beware of the parking situation.
Lot of fun. Nice amenities. Great location. Kristina very helpful
Great floor plan and location
Great, clean, roomy lodge! This floor plan is the best I've ever seen when it comes to accommodating a family. Basically it has four masters each with a private bath! They even had twin blow up mattresses that made it more comfortable for our smaller grandkids than having just their sleeping bag on the floor. We had a small issue the first night but the owner immediately took care of it. She was extremely 'available' and answered all our questions as soon as they were asked!
The pool area is great for kids of all ages and the location could not be better for us. Our grands love Silver Dollar City and this lodge is honestly about 3 minutes away. We could go out there early, come in to eat lunch, head out to the park again later ...honestly couldn't ask for more convenience.
