Fairytale Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We were four Canadians traveling throughout Argentina during the months of January and February. It was a memorable trip!

Our stay in this beautiful cottage was one of highlights. The setting on the beautifully manicured grounds, the tranquility of the site and the proximity to the Nahuel Huapi Lake made this fairytale cottage the best choice for us.

The cottage is very comfortable, cozy and extremely clean.

The use of the quincho for our nightly parillas was fantastic.

The owner, Alfredo, is wonderful. Alfredo is always available for directions, information and good conversations. Alfredo was instrumental in organizing our fly fishing trip.

The area is magnificent and there is so much to visit and do.

Thank you Alfredo for such a wonderful stay and give a pat to our friend Bigote!

It was a pleasure meeting you, kindest regards.

Johanne L.

What a lucky find!

  • 5 of 5

This is one of the nicest stand alone cabins situated in a beautiful setting on a +1 acre estate that you are likely to find. The owner and his helper live in other houses remote from the cabin. In the morning you wake up to watch bandurria birds searching for worms in the verdant lawn beneath mature 100' native trees. The owner is very helpful and speaks great English. There is a separate enclosed quincho or BBQ where we invited him and his daughter to join us for a fun filled and entertaining meal. This is the best deal in Bariloche!

Will never forget.!

  • 5 of 5

This lovely cabin in the woods is by far the best rental I have ever had. All correspondence leading up to the rental was so prompt and helpful. The cabin was covered with beautiful flowering vines and the inside was so perfectly finished for the comfort of guests. We arrived at Puerto Panuelo from Chile on the lakes crossing and were met at the dock, on a cold windy night by Alfredo who drove us to the cabin where he had organised a car to be waiting for us for our weeks stay.

The cabin was perfect with so many nice welcoming treats including wine from Mendosa and Mamushka chocolates. Alfredo was able to give us great suggestions for our drives and shopping/restaurant needs. We were lucky to meet his lovely daughter and we had daily visits from "El Bigote" the family dog.

Although the bus stop is in easy walking distance of the cabin , I highly recommend renting a car.We were able to enjoy so many amazing drives and I as a senior citizen found the driving there very manageable.

Love "Bariloche log Cabin"and someday would love to return. Thank you Alfredo.

We have stayed in VRBO homes in England (6), Croatia (3) Italy (4) & France (2) but never in a house where the owner was so helpful in every possible way. Neither of us speak much Spanish & Alfredo is bilingual which is another priceless asset for us to the Bariloche Log Cabin. The cabin itself is small but charming & cozy it has gas heat & a grand fireplace which can be seen in the pix. The house was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is small but well equipped & the bed very comfortable. The location is in a quiet area out of town along with many up market houses close to the lake. We were there for over a month & sorry to leave.

An Argentine Holiday

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Alfredo's was wonderful. He is a kind and caring person who really looks out for his renters. He was very helpful and even invited my wife and I to Christmas dinner with his family; which was delightful. The cabin is charming and is on the same property as Alfredo's house(but not too close). I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting Bariloche, especially those wanting to see more than just the touristy city-center.

Una estadía encantadora

  • 5 of 5
