cozy cottage with tennis court in the back yard

  • 5 of 5

We only stayed here two days but a week would have been better. The cottage is cozy and the tennis court in the backyard was the height of convenience. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked. The location is very convenient to downtown restaurants as well as many wineries.

Well maintained and perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Was perfect for the 2 of us to stay and explore Niagara-on-the-lake. We quickly walked into town and biked to the falls on a beautiful path. Awesome trip and great house.

Spacious & Clean in a Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the location was great, the bed was very comfortable, the house was well-kept and clean, and playing tennis was a bonus! Great communication while making our reservations and check-in and check-out was a breeze. We'll definitely be recommending this to our friends and family when they visit Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Great spot just a short walk from downtown

  • 4 of 5

This was a great spot for the two of us to just unwind after a day around NOTL. Clean (although the blinds and lighting needed a good dusting) and the AC/Fireplace both worked great. FYI, the bounce the wifi on a repeater from the house next door, so the wifi is pretty weak in the house (bummer because we tried streaming a movie on our laptop from the bed (which is a studio - just off the living room) so we had to give up and watch it the next morning on the other side of the house closest to the repeater). The only other thing we were kinda bummer about is the photos here show tennis rackets and a ball. Bring your own. They didn't have any here, which we figured having a tennis court in the back yard they'd have some there for us to use.

Last thing to note, the prices listed in the cottage were about $100 cheaper than booking on here. Something to keep in mind. Just saying.

Great water pressure. Well maintained. And, yes, we would definitely stay again. Just make sure our international data plan was ready. :)

Owner's Response: Hi , We appreciate you taking the time to write a review! The tennis rackets and balls are kept in a bucket usually in the bottom of the closet as you go down stairs to the basement. We will check the house to see if we can find them, if not, we will purchase replacements! The wifi usually works better than what you experienced. Before a guest arrives we always sign on to the wifi and look up a few website to make sure the speed is ok, however, we don't normally try to stream a movie. We'll give it a try and see what happens. It was beautiful weather for your stay so we hope you took some time to get out and explore the neighbourhood, our town was just awarded the top prize internationally by Community in Blooms! We are all so excited because that was 3 years of primping, pruning and volunteering! The price listed in the house is the per night rate by booking directly with us, it does not include the cleaning fee, taxes or the newly introduced HomeAway/VRBO travelers fee! Niagara-on-the-Lake licenses vacation rentals and one of the conditions is for us to post the per night rate. We will try and make it a little clearer about what that amount really means! Thanks for giving us the head up on how we can improve. We always appreciate constructive feedback! We are hoping that you will come back and stay with us again! Janet Niagara Holiday Rentals!

Excellent location

  • 5 of 5

Loved this location inside & out. Close to town (10 minutes max); perfect place for a getaway for 2. Loved playing tennis in the back yard (although we know now we're aren't Wimbledon ranked players). Would come back to this spot in a heartbeat (and stay longer).

Owner's Response: Hi ! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. It is something to come and park your car and walk everywhere in town! The central location allows for an easy stroll to the water front and main shopping areas, but its also just off the bike bath and hiking trails that lead you down to the Niagara River or an access to the Bruce Trail! Hope we will be welcoming you again soon!

Great Place to Stay in NOTL

  • 5 of 5

My search began in late May of this year. The response to my inquires was at best fair until I contacted the management of Niagara Holiday Rentals. I told them that my family had been coming down to this area since the early 80's. This trip was for me alone until the long w/e when my wife would join me. I planned to work on a number of projects plus explore the area more fully. The property I stayed at was great. Perfect for one or two people, located close to downtown, quiet at night and a great area to walk in. Tourist information in the house was helpful. The inside of the property is modern and very comfortable with laundry facilities. This property is ideal for w/e as well as longer stays.

I would recommend this property highly to a friend. Management made my stay enjoyable by having all the agreed supplies on hand at arrival. All equipment worked and management was never to busy to answer any questions I had. Yes, I would return to this property for a future stay in the area.
