Overview

About the property

This private studio cottage offers all the convenience of a hotel room yet is quietly tucked away in the heart of the historic district in the most sought after 'South of Broad' district. We are conveniently located just 2 blocks from the beautiful Charleston harbor and White Point Gardens, and are within walking distance to most downtown shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

The cottage itself features beamed ceilings, has a queen sized bed, is furnished with antiques and fine linens, has a beautifully newly renovated bathroom, views of the light filled garden and fountain, and free street parking for 1 car right on front of the property - a rarity in downtown Charleston! There is a small fridge and a coffee maker including cups, saucers and wine glasses. We have free wifi, cable and are very pet friendly.

There is seating in the garden and you are welcome to enjoy your coffee, wine or sandwich out there at anytime. Because we are a residential neighborhood quiet must be observed at about 10:00pm. Thank you and enjoy!

Very quaint cottage with the friendliest owners!

  • 5 of 5

This was a very cute cottage relatively close to everything in the historic district. We stayed here on our first-ever visit to Charleston to celebrate my husband's birthday. Ann was friendly and helpful throughout the entire planning process leading up to the trip and even helped me coordinate a birthday surprise. She accepted delivery for me on surprise birthday cupcakes I had delivered just before we arrived and even left us a bottle of champagne and fresh flowers!

The place is small and clean and perfect for two people. It is close to everything in the historic district, but not necessarily walk-able. There are two bikes available for your use if you want to bike into town, but otherwise taking a Lyft to a central location is the best way to go. Parking downtown is a hassle. Luckily, there is free parking on this residential street, though, so you'll be able to leave your car behind without a problem.

A perfect getaway. . .

  • 5 of 5

The location, the amenities, the comfort and quiet. . .all together make this a very special place to stay. We loved living a little bit of the life South of Broad for a few days. The proximity to the Battery for walking and biking, plus the quiet and privacy, made us really reluctant to leave. And there could be no more gracious host than Ann.

Beautiful clean place. No idea that is was pet friendly. Ann was so helpful giving us ice to keep from going back downtown and letting our dog have the run of the backyard. Definitely will stay here again. Amen street awesome food. Do a culinary tour, Glenn was awesome and I ate so much did not eat again till the next day. 🤗?

Didn't want to leave..

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was absolutely perfect. Space is exactly as pictured in photographs, even prettier details in person. We were able to walk or Uber (for around $6) most everywhere we wanted to go. A parking space was provided conveniently on the street out front in a very quiet, quaint neighborhood. Our dog was welcomed with milkbones and had plenty of space in the private yard to walk around and do his business. Food recommendations left in the room were spot on! The host, Ann, and her husband were extremely accommodating, easy to reach and friendly! We were able to add an extra night to our stay as a result of hurricane Irma hitting out hometown. Would love to go back in the near future (4 days in Charleston just wasn't enough for all it has to offer)! No complaints.
