Beautiful clean place. No idea that is was pet friendly. Ann was so helpful giving us ice to keep from going back downtown and letting our dog have the run of the backyard. Definitely will stay here again. Amen street awesome food. Do a culinary tour, Glenn was awesome and I ate so much did not eat again till the next day. 🤗?

Didn't want to leave..

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was absolutely perfect. Space is exactly as pictured in photographs, even prettier details in person. We were able to walk or Uber (for around $6) most everywhere we wanted to go. A parking space was provided conveniently on the street out front in a very quiet, quaint neighborhood. Our dog was welcomed with milkbones and had plenty of space in the private yard to walk around and do his business. Food recommendations left in the room were spot on! The host, Ann, and her husband were extremely accommodating, easy to reach and friendly! We were able to add an extra night to our stay as a result of hurricane Irma hitting out hometown. Would love to go back in the near future (4 days in Charleston just wasn't enough for all it has to offer)! No complaints.

As beautiful as pictured - perfect cottage in Charleston

  • 5 of 5

We felt like we were walking into the pages of a magazine in this cottage. It truly is as pictured. After arriving in hot, humid Charleston, we were greeted by the cool, comfortable accommodations in Ann's cottage. She has created what I think is the perfect guest room. From the fresh flowers on the nightstand, to the Nespresso machine on the mini fridge (containing milk, cream, water and a welcome bottle of wine), to a personalized note, she has thought of every detail. The bed was SO comfortable and the towels were so nice that I'm going to ask her where she bought them. The walls are covered with NC artwork and maps, the furniture is high end. It is just so lovely I can't emphasize that enough!

Let's talk about location... this cottage is located near White Point Gardens, a beautiful area. We parked our car out front and didn't touch it again until we left. We walked everywhere in this gorgeous, historic city. Walking to the downtown area took about 20 minutes and was a beautiful walk. We used Uber twice, and they arrived in four minutes. The rental includes two yellow cruisers...we would have loved to take a bike ride on them but it was so hot that we stuck to walking. We really enjoyed staying in a neighborhood, feeling like a local if only for a few days.

Speaking of the heat and humidity, my husband and I were so happy with the temperature in the cottage. The AC kept up beautifully with the extreme heat. The cottage was a welcome reprieve from the heat outside! That said, we sat outside at the cute cafe table one afternoon to enjoy a beverage.

There are so many wonderful restaurants in Charleston, but a few of our favorites were 167 Raw and Pearlz. We had great food everywhere we went. I don't think you can go wrong! Take a few of the historic home tours and be sure to take a carriage tour. My husband gave me the book, Very Charleston by Diana Hollingsworth Gessler, prior to our trip. It is an illustrated guide to Charleston and the surrounding area, including history. I'd recommend it to everyone.

We were in Charleston after dropping our twins off at college, and this gorgeous cottage and beautiful city made the transition easier! I would love to get to stay here again. Thank you, Ann, for a wonderful visit.

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have asked for a better stay Im Charleston! Ann and her husband think of everything to make your stay comfortable. The cottage was bright, clean, and close to everything! We especially appreciated on street parking and riding the bikes. If you are considering a stay at their cottage, don't hesitate! You won't be disappointed!
