This is a appropriately appointed two story home for vacationers. Easy walking distance to River Street, shopping, restaurants, Colonial Park Cemetery and the Jul. Our amenity laden home includes hardwood floors, central air, fireplace, two bedrooms with flat screen TVs for your enjoyment, each with your own private bath and walk-in closets, a fully equipped kitchen and half bath on first floor. Other amenities include washer and dryer, ceiling fans and gated courtyard.<br><br>

Take advantage of Savannah's reputation as a top ten walking City with walking access to all the best Savannah Squares, including updated Crawford Square, Greene Square, Troupe Square and Columbia Square to name but a few. All of this prime positioning within the district just two blocks from Owens Thomas and Davenport House Museums and historic Police Headquarters in a relaxing 1300 square foot retreat. This tasteful replica of federalist style features work by a wrought iron artisan and their comfortable mix of antiques and modern conveniences.<br><br>

The living room has a decorative fireplace, flat screen cable TV, DVD and stereo. Common living areas have antique heart pine flooring and high ceilings with cornice mouldings. There is also a main floor powder room.<br><br>

The bright fully equipped galley kitchen offers cook-top stove with oven, refrigerator for your cooking convenience along with a microwave, dishwasher and stainless steel Cuisinart coffeemaker. You can exit from the wainscotted dining room to a fully fenced side yard with table and chairs. This side yard is ideal for enjoying your morning coffee.<br><br>

Good location but the house didn't measure up

There are a couple of positives---the house is in a good location relative to the Savannah historic district and the beds were comfortable. The house was basically clean (sinks, bathtub, floors) but don't look in the corners, on the window sills, under the dishwashing liquid bottle sitting on the kitchen sink, under the placemats on the dining room table, etc. The couch in the photo looks good, but it was broken down and not comfortable. The photo also shows that there are two wicker chairs in the living room, but there was only one, so seating was limited. It says twice in the narrative describing the house that there is a flat screen TV in the living room and in each bedroom, but there is no TV in either bedroom. The TV in the living room was hard to switch from TV to DVD mode---you had to push buttons on the back of the TV which didn't work well, and there is no lamp in the corner near the TV so it was basically working in the dark to try and work the buttons on the back of the TV. Luckily we had a flashlight on our phone! The lighting in the living room is poor in general. The property manager was not always good about responding to email such as when we had a question about any possible hurricane damage to the area where the house is located prior to our arrival, and she never responded at all. We also emailed her about no TVs in the bedroom, and she eventually responded and said she could come over the next day with a TV but it wouldn't have cable. We also called her while in Savannah and got a message that her mailbox was full.

There are many houses/apartments for rent in Savannah, and we would suggest looking into other properties.

Great girls trip to Savannah

This house was perfect! It was so cute and the location was perfect! Walking distance to anywhere in the historic downtown. I would definitely stay here again!!

Charming southern cottage

This home was everything we expected and more, with Southern charm galore. The house is situated on a quiet side street so it has quite a residential feel while still being within easy walking distance to downtown and the riverfront. If it's too far to walk (we also went to Tybee Beach and Bonaventure Cemetary) Uber worked extremely well for us, as did the trolley.

The kitchen is nicely equipped, although we ended up not cooking; maybe next time. The living room is comfortable and we used it quite a bit for hanging out since this was a girls' weekend.

I especially enjoyed that each of the two king bedrooms had their own ensuite bathroom, which greatly simplified getting a group of women ready in the morning.

Kim is super easy to work with, communicates promptly, and refunded my damage deposit promptly after checkout. So five stars for Kim, too!

Relaxing and convenient

This was a great house - so well maintained and clean. The location is wonderful. We were in Savannah to see our son compete at the Jazz festival and we needed to be able to go back and forth frequently during the day from venues where he played and the house. I would stay here again in a minute. The space is great. The beds are comfortable. I am glad we chose this as our "home" for a few days.
