Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed here for one week over Christmas with our two kids and both sets of grandparents. The apartment has been beautifully renovated with an eye for detail. As an interior design nut, I could have happily spent my week in the living room alone. That said, there is too much to see and do in Budapest to stay indoors. The apartment is well located on a quiet residential street a block away from Parliament and quite close to the trams and metro. There are cafes, bars, and supermarkets in walking distance as well. Please do note that two of the bedrooms have full en suites and one has a shower and sink, but no toilet. This wasn't really an issue, but worth noting. We loved our stay here, and would absolutely return.

Wonderful spot, wonderful apartment

  • 5 of 5

Not often do photo's on the internet of under sell accomodation. But in this case the apartment was even more beautiful, more spacious and more luxurious than the photos and the description made out.

We had an absolutely wonderful time and the location was perfect

So elegant!

  • 4 of 5

The apartment is huge - room enough for 10 to sleep very comfortably.

Air conditioning was very helpful on the hot days this summer although it didn't reach all the rooms equally.

There was a problem with the water heater and hopefully that will be working for the next guests.

It is on a very quiet, restful street near interesting antique shops and the parliament building.

Quick acces to most areas of Budapest.

Words are not enough to describe this jewel

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here for two week over summer and we all loved everything about it. The apartment was decorated with impeccable taste, great art pieces all over the place and lots of beautiful details, very tall ceilings with tall windows which let the air circulate perfectly through the house, even though it was in august and it was hot in the city we did not need the air conditioning. I particularly enjoyed the library room adjacent to the living, it became my quiet place to read, drink a cup of coffee in the mornings and overlook the court yard.

As an architect and my husband a General contractor, we really appreciated the quality of the renovation done to this place. The apartment is centrally located on a quiet residential street near the parliament, Margaret Island, liberty square, trams and metro, antique shops, restaurants, bars, and supermarkets in walking distance as well.

We loved our stay here and our interaction with Svetlana (Anna’s mom) and would absolutely return.

Stunning apartment in heart of Budapest

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed for five nights at this apartment and absolutely loved it.

The owners parents Svetlana and Laszlo kindly met us at the apartment, let us in and showed us how everything worked - they were really nice people. The apartment itself is spacious and luxurious, perfect for a family or couples wanting more space than your standard hotel room. The apartment is near both the #2 tram line and an underground station for easy transportation anywhere around the city. Its also a two minute work to the beautiful Hungarian Parliament and the Danube. The area is slightly away from the main tourist haunts; rather it is in Budapests "Antiques District" so you feel you're living more like a local than a tourist. Theres also an Aldi a few streets away for catering in the very well equipped kitchen. Nice bathrooms, good sized beds and even a (shared) large outdoor courtyard.

We were thrilled we found and stayed at this apartment as I'm sure anyone else staying here will also feel.

Thank you Anna.

Regards

Julian

Downtown Budapest is where many cultural and historical sights are centered. District V. functions as the heart of Budapest, being the centre of public transport, business life, and tourism.

The 3 metro lines of Budapest meet at Deák Square. Other major public transport lines are nearby.

The capital's largest church, the St Stephen's Basilica stands on a spacious plaza in V. district, downtown Budapest.

A walk along the Danube Promenade (Duna Korzó) stretching between Elizabeth Bridge and the Chain Bridge in Pest also provides a fine view of the Buda side. The promenade dates back to the Millennium celebrations in 1896 and it's lined with trees and benches.

Margaret island is also a few minutes away, a beautiful green park where you can enjoy different activities including jogging, cycling and swimming.

The Castle Hill in Buda with Matthias Church, the Royal Castle and the Danube Embankment became the first protected areas in 1987, following the elegant Andrássy Avenue and its neighborhood in 2002.
