Enjoy spectacular Lake Willoughby water and mountain views and a wonderful sandy beach across the street. Experience the cool and clear waters of Willoughby. Bring water shoes as the lake bottom is rocky. The larger public beach to the north is a 10 minute walk. Our well-groomed, flat and spacious grounds allow you to enjoy lawn games, explore the brook or grab a book and sit near the gardens or lake and relax. Hiking trails are located at the south end of the lake and many more within 20 to 30 minutes. We welcome all to the unlimited outdoor recreation that surrounds us making a stay with us ideal for individual, family and sporting vacations or a refreshing week-end getaway.
Every night come dusk, weather permitting, Bill builds a crackling fire in the large central firepit for guests to enjoy after a day of swimming, hiking or relaxing in the beautiful surroundings. Adults and children alike gather around to roast marshmallows, share stories, and gaze at the night sky-amazed at the stars they see here on a clear night. Bring your book of constellations and behold the wonder of a Northeast Kingdom sky with no light pollution.
Our policy has a 2 night minimum for all stays excluding the American holidays of Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. These holiday stays have a 3 night minimum.
Green Acres is located along the Northeast Kingdom Byway at Lake Willoughby. Enjoy our private beach and lakefront lot across the street from the cabins. Glorious, world-class sunsets can be seen from our spectacular shoreline on Lake Willoughby. Picnic tables are provided to have a picnic lunch or a sunset dinner on our lakeside lot. Experience the pristine waters of glacial Lake Willoughby from our private beach. Launch your kayak or paddle board or we can arrange rentals. Enjoy your own little piece of paradise on what is called "the Lucerne of America". There is great hiking at south end of lake with incredible views as you reach the look-outs and summits. Lake Willoughby holds the state record in fishing Lake Trout. Come for the world-class biking 30 minutes away at Kingdom Trails in Burke.
