Why Chasity chose Arnold

We are a family of four that recently began visiting Arnold. We have truly fallen in love with the area and were blessed to be able to buy this cabin this year. The private lake and the amazing hiking trails that are practically in our back yard have been an unexpected joy to our family. Don't be surprised if you see a family of deer or a wild turkey wondering through the property. We've seen both in just the last month! This cabin has already been a blessing to our family and we are excited to be able to share it with others.

Lovely home for families.

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful summer stay here and can't wait to come back for winter. The lake and amenities couldn't have been better for our group which had 4 kids under 6. They didn't want to leave The house also had a game room in basement which the kids loved. The kitchen is well stocked and a great place to prepare meals. The only surprise was two of the rooms were not completely private. One had a curtain door and they had windows that opens to the houses high ceiling. It was still private enough but you could hear each other.

Lovely cabin on the mountain side. Plenty to do!

  • 5 of 5

We lovingly called this cabin the uppy-downy house. So cozily nestled in the mountain-side. Lots of stairs in this house to accommodate its placement in the mountain.

We appreciated the owners' great communication from the very beginning of the rental process. They provide lots of info for enjoying all the local recreation spots. Close to Big Trees state park, Mercer Caverns, hiking and even free access to a private lake (kayaks, paddleboats, beach toys, all included!). We also rented a stand up paddleboard only 5 minutes away.

Close to grocery store and lots of great local restaurants.

This cabin was very clean, well kept and fully appointed so your family can pull up and start enjoying your vacation! Lots of nice touches like board games for the kids and wifi. Would definitely recommend!

Comfy cabin of contentment

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a cabin in the woods to help us relax and reflect on the recent passing of a loved one. We wanted something that would allow enough room for shared conversation but also space for quiet reflection. We got more than we could have expected from this lovely cabin. There is an open floor plan with comfy sofas and unobstructed views of the trees and surroundings. The dining area accommodated 6 adults and a tweenager comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes, pots, pans and utensils you can possibly need. There was plenty of room for three "chefs" to prepare meals and casually hang out without being under foot. The home has two decks and one balcony. This allowed us to enjoy different views of the property, and there is a babbling little brook that borders the property. It was sweet and calming to sit out there in the morning and just listen to the forest come alive.

The accommodations for sleeping were comfortable. The two loft style bedrooms were separated by a staircase and semi-private with openings to allow for light and air movement. The bunkhouse bedroom has large bunk beds that comfortable would accommodate four adults in the lowers and two children in the uppers.

The cabin was perfect.

The only challenge is getting down to the cabin, the steps are steep and worn and many.

We had a wonderful time and will stay again.

Fun weekend away with friends

  • 5 of 5

We had friends visiting from Hawaii and wanted to play in the snow with all of our kids. The house provided just the space we needed. The kids loved playing shuffle board in the basement and having their own space. The house was easy to find - bring a flash light if you arrive late at night for the first few steps if the stairs are wet or covered in snow.

Thank you for opening your home to us

New Year's 2016

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed in this wonderful home to ring in the New Year! The welcoming gift basket with party horns and party hats was a nice personal touch and very thoughtful. We loved the Christmas decorations - it felt like we were at our own home. We really enjoyed the snow around the cabin and even found some small hills to enjoy the sleds. The kids had a snowball fight on the back patio! We went skiing one day at Bear Valley, it was short drive only 45 minutes away. The extra lighting on the driveway and stairs was very helpful to see in the dark. We had 10 people comfortably stay in the cabin. We loved the kitchen and enjoyed family meals each night we stayed. Our kids enjoyed the game room downstairs. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.
