Why Vicki Weiss or Steve Gordon chose Courtenay
We bought this property in 2000 because of the views (both forest and ocean view)and how private Coral Road is We built this house in 2010 and loving here every moment. Rural but a 15 min drive to every thing....
What makes this House unique
Watching the Cruise ship heading up to Alaska . Seeing and hearing the winter sea loins barking to keep the Orcas away.

This stay was wonderful. Vicki was a charming and attentive hostess.
The property is a great home base for day trips and excursions. We loved coming home to it.
A SWEET stay in this relaxing suite.
Our family stayed here for 1 week. (Wish it was longer). The beds and bedding were so so so comfortable. The master bedroom has a patio door that opens to the “sweets” private yard. The kitchen was super stocked with lots of handy appliances, and a Large new fridge with ice maker. Living room had Comfy couch and chairs. The hot tub was very clean and warm with a view of a pretty back yard. (They even provided robes and deck shoes to use with it). The neighbourhood was so quiet we slept with doors/windows open to better enjoy the ocean breezes. (The ocean was across the street and down a small path, very accessible, perfect if you love rock collecting). Outdoor Patio furniture (with cushions) and a fantastic BBQ made cooking meals a fun event. They offered lots of tv channels and Netflix. There is a game cupboard with indoor and outdoor games. When we had trouble figuring out the tv. Vicki was there in 2 minutes to help us. Thanks for everything Vicki & Steve. Our family enjoyed this home immensely and would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend Vicki & Steve’s “Sweet” suite.
Bates Beach Suite could not get any sweeter!
I don't know where to begin as everything about this set-up met and exceeded our expectations. Vicky and Steve were easily accessible and made sure to check in with us in person to ensure everything was working for us. The location on Coral Road is ideal being so close to the ocean,. the beaches and the very welcome breezes. Deer and eagles abounded for our delight and amazement. The suite itself was beautiful and so roomy and cool with the custom flooring. Everything was furnished very nicely for our enjoyment with lots of room for the little bit of entertaining family groups that we did. This being a very personal trip to scatter our father's ashes in the ocean just off of Bate's resort as a result of many years of happy family memories of vacations and fishing trips spent there. The kitchen was very large, well designed and fully equipped with an up-to-date roomy refrigerator which had plenty of freezer storage and an efficient ice-maker. We even found a Panini grill in the cupboards that were bulging with equipment! There was nothing missing and all the utensils were top-quality. The beds were a dream to sleep in (pardon the pun) and the bathroom was truly spa-like as advertised. I like a bedroom that is bright and breezy and my sister prefers sheltered and cool. The front and back yards were both spacious and well-kept with lots of room for everyone. My sister and I are now looking back longingly on the slow sweet quiet days we spent at 5763 Coral Road with our little dog Chico and already planning to return for a longer period of time next year. The Sweet Suite was an amazing find and one our family will continue to treasure in years to come. Thanks Vicky and Steve, you are the hosts with the mosts!
Great space in a quiet location. Good spot to chill and unwind.
We had a great stay. The place is well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen. Beach just a few steps away. The only issue we had was with cleanliness of the dishes and the towels etc. It was a minor issue that the hosts were apologetic about.
I would definitely stay here again.

It was a very nice place to get away from the city life, very quiet. The beach area was very interesting, (other than the rocks/ However I collect small rocks as a hobby so worked for me.) Seeing all the marine life was great especially for us from the prairies. The home has everything you need to relax. There is also lots to see in the area with a Military Museum, other museums and lots of shopping for those interested.
