This spectacular home is right on the beach with panoramic views of Mount Baker and the San Juan and Gulf Islands. The open plan living room, kitchen and dining area has wall to wall windows opening onto a large deck and a natural beach area. You can step into a kayak or walk along the beach to a sandy swimming area.
The four bedroom/3 bathroom home sleeps eight. Upstairs is a huge master suite with king bed, two seating areas and ensuite bathroom. There is also a full sized bedroom, a bedroom with twin bunkbeds, and a bathroom with a claw foot tub. The fourth queen bedroom is downstairs, adjacent to the third bathroom.
The living room faces south onto the beach and has a huge log fireplace and exposed beams. There is a separate sunroom equipped with a large screen television with cable television and internet.
The open plan kitchen is equipped with full refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster oven and blender. The downstairs bathroom has a shower and washer and dryer.
There is a two person inflatable kayak available to tour the coastline. There are also two "pedal pusher" cruiser bikes and a foosball table.
Our family of seven arrived exhausted and weary, and left with full tanks, cherished memories, and refreshed! Every detail was thought of to create a perfect Christmas vacation, including classy and festive decorations. Breathtaking and ever changing views abound, beautiful and comfortable furnishings, quality towels and linens, nice floor plan - open living area, clean, fully stocked, convenient location, and so much more. Fran is extremely thoughtful and a dream to work with.
Our 2 families had an amazing stay. We loved the view. The kids loved the beach combing. The home is beautiful, well stocked, and very inviting. The rental process was easy. Lily point is close by with trails for walking. Lighthouse park is around the bend with more walking opportunities and a small play structure. This was a relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place. The views from every room were amazing. The location was fantastic and convenient. I definitely want to return.
Rental house was as described, and exceeded expectations on the wonderful location. It was well prepared for our arrival (clean, all linens, and a welcome bottle of wine!). Spacious living area with wonderful views of the ocean and islands was enjoyed by our stay of 7 guests. Kitchen was well equipped for all that we needed. Enjoyed the spacious master suite upstairs with full ocean views. Private and quiet with a full view of ocean and islands enjoyed from inside the house or on the front deck.
Owner was professional and responded quickly to any questions we had.
A real gem, and planning to return next year!
The owner is very well prepared for renters ,makes coming and going a breeze. A kayak, foosball, plenty of deck chairs from which to enjoy the stunning Gulf Island view and Mt Baker, a dining table that can easily seat 12. Harbor seals watch you from the kayak...
Some things to note:
The 2nd floor bunk bedroom is very small, suitable for children, really. The queen bedoom is perfectly fine. The fourth bedroom is downstairs which is perfectly okay. As noted the en-suite master bedroom is stunning -- would almost be worth it for a couple to rent the whole house.
As with the Pacific NW, the beach is rocky, and the water is much cooler here than in Maple Beach, but still warmer than the open water.
The yard on the beach side is just gravel, rock, and weeds. But this is entirely appropriate for the setting, and maintaining a lawn would be a bit ridiculous.
had a marvellous 3 night stay at this beautiful beach house. TONS of space... just 3 of us (could easily sleep 8). comfy furnishings, massive fireplace, great BBQ, well equipped open kitchen. a classy place, but sandy feet ok.! gorgeous spot near marina. wonderful beach combing. kayaks, bikes to play with. Owner was very friendly.. arrangements straightforward. thanks so much Fran.... we'll be back. cheers!
We are steps from the Pt. Roberts marina with access to the US San Juan Islands and the Canadian Gulf Islands. You can walk along miles of beaches and walking trails. You can play golf on one of the best courses in the Northwest, watch eagles and often see whale pods. You can rent bikes to tour the local shops and restaurants, attend yoga classes and more.
