About the property

2 Bedrooms/ 1 Bathroom/ 4 Sleeps

Located in Seattle's hip Eastlake neighborhood bordering Capitol Hill, Downtown, Lake Union, a vibrant houseboat community, and the University District, this two-bedroom offers a centrally located home base with thoughtful design, high quality furnishings and modern conveniences -- including air conditioning.

The apartment is small in size, but its open floor plan makes it large in function. The generously sized Crate and Barrel mango wood dining room table flanked by Italian polished chrome side chairs make for a gracious dining experience, easily seating six.

The living room features a Keilhauer sofa, upholstered in a high quality, full-grain leather with complementary mid-century inspired swivel chairs designed by Austrian designers EOOS.

There is a modest balcony with a partial view of Lake Union and the Space Needle.

The apartment features a 51-inch flat screen, HDTV with cable. There are cordless landlines in each room, with free calls to the lower 48 states.

There are two modestly sized bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and one with a full, both with memory foam mattresses and 540-thread count Egyptian cotton sheets

Other amenities include:

Air conditioning

Hi-speed WIFI

Fully equipped kitchen with all new kitchen appliances, including Cesar Stone counter top and glass-tiled back wall

European-style washer/dryer

Brazilian teak floors

Coffee maker

Iron and ironing board

Guest parking permit provided as well as limited off street parking

Excellent access to public buses, which take you directly downtown or the University district.

About William Graf

I have been working with architects and designers for most of my professional life. This has given me an appreciation for good design. My wife and I have lived in Seattle for more than 30 years and raised three girls We love this city and constantly revel in its beauty. Weather permitting, we enjoy entertaining on our 1956 Chris Craft.

William Graf purchased this apartment in 1991

Why William Graf chose Seattle

We have always thought the Eastlake area (the east side of Lake Union) was desirable because it had close proximity to downtown, the lake and the University of Washington. We have owned this building for over 20 years and are now offering this unit for a short term rental. We think the location is outstanding and should provide travelers an excellent base for exploring.

What makes this apartment unique

I have lived on a couple of houseboats in Seattle. The location of this apartment is a few blocks from that community. I enjoyed walking the docks and sitting on the waterfront, enjoying the activity on the lake. It is a truly unique experience, not approached anywhere else in the United States, possibly the world.

Great place in Seatlle

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is well equipped, furnished, and nice to stay.

We had great time in Seattle including watching the 4th of July fireworks from the near by Lake Union. and the apartment was a very good base for and great place to return to, and have dinner in , occasionally.

We dinned in the neighborhood 'Pomodoro Ristorante Italiano' restaurant, very good as well.

Easy to get into downtown, and to get quickly on Highway..

Note that parking is not guaranteed, but we manged ok.

Amazing place!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with a few friends, and it was amazing! At first, I was disappointed not to find a dishwasher, but it turned out it was just hiding. The kitchen was very well set-up, complete with an electric kettle and a large table. The location was great, and it was very close to restaurants that catered to my husband's strict dietary needs. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great place just minutes from downtown

  • 5 of 5

My wife, toddler and I really loved this place. It was two blocks from several good restaurants and coffee shops, and just a couple minutes by car from downtown (we actually walked round trip with the munchkin one day). The apartment was as advertised. Immaculate, well laid out, and well appointed. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay here again. (One note, the deck, which has a view of Queen Anne Hill, landing planes on Lake Union, and the Space Needle, has a cable railing without too much tension, so little ones should probably not be out there unaccompanied).

Great vacation rental

  • 5 of 5

I had a great time staying at this rental. I loved how quiet it is inside the apartment (quite impressive considering the outside traffic) and how the apartment is beautifully furnished. I also love the location - there's some quaint local restaurants (good for breakfast) nearby that are a short walk down the street, and a Starbucks within walking distance too. I can't say enough about this rental. Loved my stay!
