About the property

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 4

Who needs a car? Right across the river from downtown Glenwood Springs. Bike rentals, kayaking, rafting all a block away. GWS Adventure park 2 blocks, Hot Springs pool 2 blocks, new Iron Hot Springs, 5 blocks away. Train station right across the pedestrian bridge; approx 3 blocks away. Jump in the river practically out the front door! Bike path runs for miles! Bring your flyrod; lets go fishing! My house is on a very quiet street but so close to town you can walk everywhere. There are lots of fun things to do near by. The house itself lends itself to comfort and has a 'laid back' vibe. The house is ideal for a family of 4 or two couples traveling together. Master bedroom has king size bed and guest room has a queen size bed.

Why Whitney Linman chose Northwest

This house is the definition of comfortable! I like to be comfortable so of course I think everyone else does too! The house has a 'laid back' vibe and is filled with happy colors and things that I love. I hope you do too!!

What makes this house unique

This house is within walking distance to everything wonderful Glenwood has to offer. You are 2 blocks from the River; just across the pedestrian bridge from downtown where you can shop and eat at all the wonderful restaurants. One block over you can rent bikes, kayaks or book a rafting trip. To the west 2 blocks is the GWS Adventure park where you can take the gondola up the mountain and go caving or ride the rides or just enjoy the view and have lunch or dinner! You don't need a car to go anywhere!

Guestbook comments from the owner

It is difficult to really describe my weekend at the lovely "little yellow cottage" in Glenwood Springs, as my anticipated plans turned sooo South just a few hours before I was to embark on a girls weekend with my grown daughters.

I won't go in to detail about my circumstances, but, instead will fast forward to my loving, warm reception from Stacey, the owner of

this charming property.

The hospitable, warm and friendly "welcome to my home" basket that awaited me, immediately made me feel not so all alone. I know that sounds kind of corny, but it actually happened.

Immediately after my tour of the property, my dog, Savannah, and I headed straight for the quaint, fairied, gnomed, light-filled green grasses that surrounded the private patio of our home away from home.

I exhaled the heavy energy with which I had arrived and drew in the crisp, Colorado Autumn mountain air and loving atmosphere that was waiting for me (us) at the "little yellow cottage.

Thank you, Stacey. Your goodness permeates your home. Thank you for allowing Savannah and me to be your guests.❤️

Nice 2BR house close to everything in GWS. Walk anywhere, great views, quiet neighborhood. Thanks!

  • 5 of 5

Great place to "base" out of if you're exploring the GWS area. Quiet, well - equipped, ready to go with everything you need. Favorite things: plenty of room to "spread out" and unpack. Nice kitchen area. Comfy living room. COMFY BEDS! Cool back patio. And the best is you can walk (10 min max) to everything. Property owner quick to respond, and answered all our questions. Would go back.

Overall a cool and comfortable house to stay for a couple of nights while spending time in Glenwood Springs. Also, this house is located in very convenient location.

Great time

  • 4 of 5

Thank you Stacey for sharing you great little "get away" house. We had a pleasant stay and we were so greatful to have a safe and comfortable place to take our two kids and dog. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, and a lot of interesting art to look at. Close to everything!

New Years Stay

  • 2 of 5

My family did not like this home. There is a lot of stuff in the house. A lot of stuff for a rental!!! The second bedroom is made out of a porch - the room was much colder then the rest of the house. We had to wash everything we used in the kitchen: the plates, the pots, the utensils - they all felt oily.

The home was charming and eclectic. It is fine for a few people (we had 4 and that worked fine). There is not a lot of storage space and the 1 bathroom was very small. There were also very few 3 prong outlets. The bedroom next to the kitchen was very spacious and the home location was fantastic for skiing or hotsprings.

Great little house. Easy walk into town. Cute backyard. Comfortable mattresses. Quiet neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

Master bedroom is off the kitchen and has a glass door entry so not as private. Have to walk through the kitchen and living room to get to the bathroom.

Children are not allowed to play on top of retaining wall as it is quite high and can erode with foot traffic. We love pets, but two dogs maximum are allowed. Please do not leave dogs home alone ALL DAY- barking dogs are a nuisance for our neighbors.
We are in wonderful walking distance from downtown, the historic pool, the new Iron Hot Springs, and the base of the caverns. The neighbor hood is centrally located, but very quietly tucked against the mountains.
The backyard is fenced and there is a cozy BBQ area to enjoy on the patio.
