About the property

Newly Renovated Studio Close To Town

We are so excited to share our newly renovated condo in the heart of Saugatuck! Purchased in early 2013, this condo was renovated from top to bottom. Everything inside is brand new and tastefully designed to capture the charm and feel of a Saugatuck beach retreat.

The studio sleeps 2 comfortably with a queen bed and new memory foam mattress. There is a roll-away bed to accommodate a child or 3rd person. All bed linens and pillows provided. A full closet provides ample storage and allows you to unpack and feel at home.

The kitchen has all you need. Full refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher (who wants to do dishes on vacation?) allow you to make your own meals. All utensils, pots/pans, glassware and dishes are provided. A 12 cup coffee maker and filters also provided. The kitchen peninsula provides an eat-at counter and stools.

The bathroom boasts a large walk-in shower! All bath towels provided, as well as shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, and hairdryer for your convenience.

Condo has air conditioning and ceiling fan.

Flatscreen TV with cable and DVD player. Alarm clock (iPod speaker/dock).

Exterior amenities: the condo courtyard is beautifully landscaped and includes gas grills, patio tables and chairs so you can enjoy the weather and peek-a-boo view of the harbor. Condo unit has one parking spot.

The location is ideal. The condo is part of the quaint 'Arrowhead Resort' community, in the historic district of Saugatuck. Right across the street from the Kalamazoo River harbor, the property has beautiful water views and is in walking distance to both downtown Saugatuck and downtown Douglas. And both Oval Beach and Douglas beach are a 5 minute drive away.

All you need

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is cozy, but has everything you can need. Very clean, and looked just like the pictures. Lindsey was very good to deal with as well. Would definitely come back.

This is a perfect getaway without kids. My wife and I were here for 2 days and felt so relaxed. This property is updated and had everything we needed. Great location and quiet.

Quaint

  • 5 of 5

This is a small property. But it's perfect for a couple. It has everything that you need in its tight quarters. A cozy bed, a kitchen with all dishes and appliances, and a clean bathroom. The location is a short drive (you could probably walk if you wanted to) from downtown Saugatuck, a short drive from downtown Douglas, from Oval Beach, and from the Sauagtuck Dunes State Park.

Lindsay had everything we needed ready for us and was very prompt and helpful in her communication.

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

This cute little studio was a perfect fall weekend getaway for two. The unit was clean and just as pictured. The area was peaceful for relaxing in the afternoon and very quiet at night for a good nights rest. Walking distance to downtown Saugutuck and quick drive Douglas and/or Oval Beach. Owner provided great recommendations on restaurants and things to do. We even took the challenge of climbing Mt. Baldy. Enjoyed every meal we had in town which included Phil's, Pumpernickel, Coral Cables, and Monroes. We were there the last weekend in September so things were more quiet than peak season but we had terrific weather and everything was still open in town until Sunday.

As described, the space is small but everything we needed for two nights, even full kitchen although we never used it but would be great if there for longer. Great patio area with BBQ too.

Would look into same resort for larger unit if we stayed longer or traveled with others.

Virgins to Saugatuck

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to Saugatuck and let me tell you, it won't be our last! We absolutely loved everything about this adorable town. The condo was within walking distance to all of the shops & restaurants, and we were able to ride our bikes throughout the area. My favorite part of our trip was taking a charter boat out to Lake Erie to catch salmon & trout. I have never fished, so this was an awesome experience!

As for the condo itself, it was very cute & decorated very nicely - the pictures didn't lie! Also, the bed was fabulous!! Not sure what kind of mattress I was sleeping on, but it was very comfortable.

There are a couple of suggestions that I'd like to make to the owner:

1) More towels would have been nice. We were there from Wed-Sun and only had 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, & 2 wash cloths a piece.

2) A toaster would be a nice addition

3) Instructions on how to use the tv; such as, which remote to turn on first & what each does.

Other than these few items, we had a fantastic stay & will definitely be back next year!

Owner's Response: Hi Nikki, I am so pleased that you enjoyed your first visit to Saugatuck! And thank you so much for the great feedback. It is very helpful to get these tips to improve the place. And I sincerely apologize about the towels. We typically have extras folded in the closet, so I am sorry if they were not there for you. I do hope you come back again and next time please feel free to call me about something like that so I can fix it for you! Thank you! Lindsay

Saugatuck (and nearby Douglas) are known for their quaint town-appeal and local art scene. The town is located on beautiful Lake Kalamazoo (right at the mouth of Lake Michigan) and lined with art galleries, shops and eateries. There are numerous music/food/art festivals each summer and countless outdoor activities, including kayaking/paddleboarding, biking, climbing the steps of Mt. Baldhead, and of course swimming and enjoying the beaches of Lake Michigan. Saugatuck is a great destination for families or singles/couples looking to get away.
