Why Erin Stolle chose Queenstown
Our three brand new cottages are opening May 2018. Do not miss the opportunity to experience the true essence of Maryland's Eastern Shore. When you stay with us you can enjoy views of the Chesapeake Bay from your cottage, including one of the most breathtaking sunsets you can find. Spend your day hiking the property, playing a round of golf, fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, shopping nearby at Queenstown Premium Outlets, or visiting Kent Narrows or Annapolis. You will not forget your experience at Queenstown.
What makes this Cottage unique
If you think “Queenstown Harbor” sounds regal, you’re correct. The land occupied by our golf course has a direct connection to royalty and is steeped in history. Here’s the full story and history of Queenstown Harbor. Historically named “My Lord’s Gift,” the land was given to Henry deCoursey by Cecil Calvert in the 1600s as a reward for his services. deCoursey, a surveyor for Calvert (the second Lord of Baltimore), placed his thumbprint on a map was granted all of the land under his thumb. That’s why the territory was known as the “thumb grant” for hundreds of years. When the owners of The Brick Companies found the land in the 1970s, it was being used as a dairy farm and working crop fields. The Brick Companies executives decided to build a golf course so they could share the beauty of the land and wildlife with the public. During construction of the course, experts conducted a large archaeological dig under the original DeCoursey home site, and unearthed and historically preserved millions of artifacts from the era. Many of these artifacts are displayed in the corporate headquarters of The Brick Companies in Edgewater, Md., and many more were donated to the Maryland Historic Trust. Next time you visit Queenstown Harbor, take a few moments to enjoy the beauty — and to appreciate hundreds of years of history beneath your tee!

Great destination for a short weekend getaway
Corsica Cottage was exactly what we expected and needed for our Labor Day weekend getaway. Plenty of space for 13 of us (6 adults, 7 kids ages 0-6). In just a short visit, we spent many enjoyable hours by the fire pit and still managed to explore the local area including beaches and restaurants.
Strongly recommend this and hope to find an occasion to come back again.
Home was beautiful and in a beautiful location along the water. The layout was perfect for a group environment and allowed us to all be together in one room. Would certainly stay here again.
Thank you for the kind words! You guys were great guests and we look forward to your visits in the future.
Great views! No problems. Easy Check in! Erin was very helpful. Would stay there again.
The Corsica Cottage is located at the Queenstown Harbor Golf Course (http://qhgolf.com) on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This secluded property offers beautiful sunset views of the Chesapeake Bay, walking trails, and access to two golf courses.
Within a short drive of the property you will find Kent Narrows with access to the Chesapeake Bay for charter fishing and water sport activities. Across the street from the property is the Queenstown Outlets, with plenty of shopping options.
Also during your stay, plan to take a short drive into Historic Annapolis, which offers museums, tours, attractions, and a variety of great restaurants.
