About the property

3 Bedroom House Within Walking Distance Of Many Attractions

This Queen Anne Victorian home was built in 1897 and still maintains many original features but includes recent upgrades. Walk inside the enclosed porch and enter into the dining area (seating for 6-10) which also has a desk workspace. The living room is next to the dining area and has 11' ceilings with new furniture (sofa has pull-out queen bed) and flat screen TV with Netflix Instant Service and cable. The master bathroom has been completely remodeled and is very spacious. Walk through a walk-in-closet to the master bedroom, which has a new king-sized foam bed from Serta. The laundry room is conveniently located near the master bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked and has stainless steel appliances and small eat-in area. A Keurig coffee maker is available at the coffee station as well as a French press and a standard drip coffee maker.

Upstairs there are two more bedrooms and a (small) full bathroom. The queen room has a crib if needed and the other bedroom has a set of twin bunk beds.

A queen air mattress can be provided upon request. Please contact the owner about parties larger than six.

Two cruiser bikes and a bike trailer are available for exploring the downtown area. Please contact owner about accessing them.

Please be aware that our staircase is historic and therefore rather steep. It may not be suitable for the elderly.

NOTE: If this property is already booked by someone else for the dates you require, please check out our other property - VRBO #592498. It is also located downtown and is similar in size.

Last minute weekday discounts might be available - contact owner for details if this applies to you.

Beautifully appointed home!

  • 5 of 5

This lovely home was such a treasure and a wonderful break after camping for several days. We were two families of three (two couples with one child each). The kids loved having their own room with special play areas and reading nooks. The kitchen was thoughtfully appointed and had everything we needed to prepare meals. We walked into town for shopping and one dinner, which was so convenient. The garden and outdoor dining areas were a huge plus. While we didn't take advantage of the fire pit, we did enjoy our breakfasts under the grape vines and we took full advantage of the grill. Some reviewers noted the steep staircase and air-conditioning woes. We didn't have any issues with either and felt that they only lent to the charm of this beautifully and thoughtfully renovated Victorian. We would definitely recommend this home to others and also would love to come back. What a wonderful find!

Very charming

  • 4 of 5

The house is in a great spot for a quick trip to Colorado National Monument Park and Moab. We enjoyed our three day getaway here. The house has everything you need and has very nice furnishings. A very comfortable place to chill out in Grand Junction.

Nicely equipped!

  • 4 of 5

This place had everything we needed. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Linens new and good quality. Kitchen well equipped.

Only problem was the window AC units couldn't handle the heat wave. The lower level AC is in a back hallway which is awkward because if someone goes into the bathroom and closes the door, the AC is blocked.

Upper level double bed not very comfortable.

Still an excellent stay and we highly recommend. Our deposit was returned within 24 hours.

This is one of the nicest vacation homes I've ever stayed in. Highly recommended in every way! Particularly great for families!

The house is lovely, and beautifully furnished. It feels like a real home. A place someone took care to make comfortable and livable and pleasant. There are numerous nice small touches. The kitchen is remarkably well equipped. If you like to cook or bake, this is the place for you! We cooked dinner every day we were there.

There are also lots of toys for kids, including a picture-perfect little hideaway for playing in the attic. A large TV and a large selection of DVDs. The garden is great, equipped with a table and chairs to eat outside.

The location is great too. You can shop and eat out in Grand Junction, but in 30 minutes, you can be at a trail head in Colorado National Monument. You're also not too far from many other amazing national parks and monuments.

The owners could not have been more accommodating and generous. We had a problem with the internet and they took care of it immediately. Ideal hosts / renters.

Very pleased

  • 5 of 5

We arrived late afternoon and was pleased with everything. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. The stairs to the upper level are steep and the lack of a handrail on the top part of the stairs was a bit of concern to me however, the rest of our party had no concern at all. We really enjoyed eating outside. Even it was hot, there was a small breeze and the vines really provided good shade. We all slept well and the air conditioners kept the house very comfortable

Functional and charming

  • 4 of 5

Pros: Very sweet home, nicely decorated, clean, on a quiet street. Communication with Amy has been swift and cordial and the security deposit returned exepditiously.

Cons: Steep stairs to the second floor. No AC in the living room + dining room, unless the master bedroom's bathroom is open on both sides to allow flow from the bedroom's dressing area, through the bathroom, to the living room. We managed just fine but I am not sure this arrangement would work on very hot days. An installation of an additional AC unit might be a good idea.

We were 4 adults + one grown-up teenager. The house served us very well for one night.

All in all, really nice place!

Thanks for a good stay.
