About Mika Barber
My husband and I are native Utahans, both born and raised in Utah. We have 4 daughters who were all born in Utah. We lived in and loved this home for many years. In November of 2012 we moved to Southern California to pursue a business opportunity. We still own a business in Salt Lake City and visit our family and friends there often. Every time we return to Utah we stay in the home and we are reminded of the unparalleled beauty Salt Lake City has to offer. We definitely have two loves - the Majestic Wasatch Mountains and the alluring Pacific Coast beaches.
Mika Barber purchased this House in 2005
Why Mika Barber chose Cottonwood Heights
We fell in love with charm and coziness of this house. The minute you walk in door you feel like you are home. We have thought about selling the home many times but we love it too much! This why we are choosing to rent the home as a vacation house - even though we can't live in the home full time we just can't part with it.
What makes this House unique
This home is in the perfect location. It's mountain living at it's best but still close enough to the city. You can be to all the major ski resorts in 15 minutes but still be downtown for dinner, shopping, or fun event also in 15 minutes. The house has a cool vibe no one can deny!

Great house, great location
This is our second year renting this house and we hope to come back next year. Very comfortable and spacious. Close to the Cottonwood Canyons, shopping, activities. Clean and well equipped. Great for a couple and visiting family. Easily accommodated my wife and I, as well as a week's visit by our two adult children, their spouses and four young grandchildren; with space on the upper level for the adults to relax and on the lower level for the children to play and watch TV in the large family room. Tall garage that fit our Jeep Grand Cherokee with Thule box.
Confortable,lovely and close to skiing!
A feathered nest
Our stay at this home was enjoyed! All the comforts of home with a full stocked kitchen & laundry room. New furniture throughout the home helped us to relax after a busy day. The only request would be a tv in the upstairs living area.
Great place to stay
We really enjoyed staying in this home. It was clean and the beds were cozy, the towels fluffy and the kitchen stocked. It had everything we needed and was in a great location with really good places to eat close by. It was far enough from the city yet close enough to easily get to anywhere we wanted to go! The owner was nice and cooperative when we had to stay an extra day when something unexpected happened. Our dogs loved running around the yard and we had a nice time.
The only thing I would recommend to this house is putting a television in the upstairs living room area. We love to cook and watch sports and found it hard to go up and down stairs and be in one room while cooking. :)
Thanks so much for letting us rent your house. We will def be back!
We had 3 couples with kids stay at the Cottonwoods Heights home and it accommodated us very well. The house was so comfortable, clean, and in a great location. The owners were great to work with. We plan on staying here again next year!
