About Steve Lingsch
We started going to the Outer Banks for surfing opportunities in the early 70's from New Jersey when we were in High School. When we were raising our family we vacationed in Hatteras every summer with family and friends. We are now 'empty nesters' and considering living in Hatteras full time.
Steve Lingsch purchased this House in 1999
Why Steve Lingsch chose Avon
We vacationed in Avon through the 80's, 90's & when this property became available in the late 90's, it made perfect sense to us.
What makes this House unique
This property is located in the heart of well maintained, family oriented Kinnakeet Shores with easy access to the beach and shopping and a short drive to Buxton, Lighthouse beaches and Hatteras.

Outer Banks vacation
Very beautiful home, enough room for 12 people. Beautiful view. Not far from the beach. Community pool. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home.
We had a great time here! The house was very nice, roomier than the pictures indicated even. Everything was in good repair and it was clean and well maintained when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again! The beach was so close, a very short walk and having food options and the pier so close was really handy.
Great Place in Avon, NC
Very nice home. Suited our group of five adults well. Owner gave us advice for where to go kiteboarding. Outdoor shower was very nice. A few glitches, some of which were corrected, others which seem could be adjusted: a) With only 3 bathrooms, at least leaving handtowels would be nice. (Home comes without towels, unless you want to pay extra or bring your own). b) It would also help to leave liquid handsoap in each bathroom. c) We found the DVD/VCR not working (as was noted by a prior family). At 1st property manager did not think they could help out. But we were pleased they dropped off a DVD player the next day. d) We also could not find dishwasher pods to run dishwasher. At 1st we were told to just handwash our dishes. Having a dishwasher available seems unhelpful w/o soap (and frankly not sanitary if being told to trust dishwashing of prior guests), so we bought our own. The next day, we were also left a few pods to use. This should be a consistent item, imo. e) Finally, we were confused to get a tip envelope, as we never had one before. We had to do our own cleaning, and brought all our own towels, so it seemed with such a popular home, the cleaners should be paid appropriately. But we realize some owners tack on outrageous ($300) cleaning fees upfront. We would recommend this home for nice amenities (jacuzzi, nice outdoor patios, great water pressure) and convenient location.
Great location and the home was clean and very open.
This is a very nice home and was convenient to everything. Clean, open, and well kept. The only thing that could use updating is the dishwasher which has outlived it's usefulness. Definitely would come back as we really enjoyed this home.
Tankless water heater great! Bunk mattresses much improved. Nice cabinet & sink in second bathroom. Could use sharp knives or a sharpener. Dishwasher needs replacing, tines broken off/rusting & loose in cabinet. We'll be back.
Thanks - We appreciate your review. We are going to replace the dishwasher this winter. We will also take care of the knife situation.
Wonderful house for a family vacation
I was quite impressed with the living area upstairs - nice large area for the family to relax and plenty of deck space as well. The walk to the beach and pool were both short and it was nice to have a grocery store nearby. I really enjoyed this place and will keep it on my list for the future.
