About Mirko Reckert

We ( ...I am German, my wife is from the Ann Arbor area) live in Germany. Almost every summer we travel to the old ´Northport Cottage´ to enjoy the remote, peaceful and beautiful Lelaneau peninsula. We love to swim, cycle, run, BBQ, read and .....relax at the fire pit and look at the stars! ...it makes you to come back to the basics. :-)

We enjoy that we find the time to talk with a nice glass of vine on the front porch.....

Hope you will make the same experience, .....

What makes this cottage unique

This is a non Smoking House! Please Respekt!

Quaint and quiet

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the rustic feel of the old farmhouse, the quiet nights with no light pollution, and the wood stove when it was cool. We slowed down - and how valuable is that today?

Beautiful and Affordable Character Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED this cottage for all the character details inside, the reading nooks, the wood stove, the fully stocked kitchen (stocked with every kitchen gadgets/utensil you need), the porch with lovely porch swing, the large, beautiful wrap around yard and the perfect location (just a few minutes from Northport and beaches). The bedroom downstairs is small and heads up, you will need to bring your own sheets and towels but honestly, I dare you to find a more reasonable price for such a great property. We'll definitely be back.

Charming Country Cottage

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a relaxing week at this charming cottage just outside of the town of Northport. The cottage was clean and spacious; we particularly enjoyed the privacy of its location. We can't wait for a return trip next summer!

Wonderful Time

  • 5 of 5

Vintage Cottage was a wonderful place to stay! The cottage had everything we needed and we loved the huge kitchen! The porch was wonderful, the beds comfy, and the yard was great fun for our kids to run around in. The location was terrific - close to Northport (which we loved!), the beaches of Lake Michigan, and to Leland. We would definitely return!

Great get away place

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriends and I had a great time at this lovely cottage. Very cute, and comfy. We had great bonfires, saw beautiful sunsets and enjoyed the peace and quiet, along with lots of laughter. Wineries, great shopping nearby and beautiful area of the country. Thanks
