WONDERFUL, It was like we were visiting friends!

  • 5 of 5

We were in town to attend a wedding at Stephenson Ridge which is about 30 minutes away, so we rented this house for family to stay together. It was well suited for us with 7 adults and 2 kids staying in the 4 bedrooms with futons in 2 bedrooms. The house is well cared for and has EVERYTHING you may need to enjoy your time there. We took the kayak, canoe and SUP out on the lake and there were about 20 life jackets in the shed to fit all body sizes, including kids. The lawn games were a big hit as we gathered outside for hours. There is plenty of seating inside and out for dining for large groups and the kitchen is stocked like someone has been living here for 20 years.

It really felt like we borrowed our friend's lake house for the weekend because there was everything that you may need, and the décor of the house was very homey. It was great to be able to make big dinners without having to worry about tin foil, condiments, spices and zip lock bags for clean up.

The owner were very responsive and allowed us a later checkout as we had late flights out on the last day. Check-in was so easy with a code on the door and our names at the security gate.

The only trouble was that my siblings did not listen to my directions when I told them they had to enter the gated community at the main gate, and instead put the house address into GPS and it took them to the back gate which you can't enter if you're a guest. My advice is to put in the address of the main gate which is 102 Lakeview Pkwy, Locust Grove, VA 22508 in order to make sure that people go to the correct location. I explained to them how to get to the main gate but they didn't listen to me, they just followed their GPS.

Overall it was a wonderful stay and we hope to be back again with friends! Thanks for having us.

Owner's Response: We are pleased to hear that your entire family enjoyed our lake house. We have tried to make it fun for all age groups, and it sounds as though you took advantage of all the "lake toys". Thank you for the suggestion to include the address of the gate house for GPS purposes. Others have experienced the same problem at your siblings did. Hope to see you again!

the best home rental ever

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our family weekend . We came into town for a wedding and needed a place to stay. this home had every thing we needed and more. This home was unbelievably kid friendly .

The welcome book and guide were perfect in explaining the TV Internet heating and all the amenities , as well as making you feel at home using anything in the home.

Everyone is looking for us to pick a week and meet here again . we will be looking for another week and defiantly come back again , for a week this time.

Large, spacious, warm, inviting, with all of wants and. All needs taken care of. My retreat group of seven guys each had their own bed and tons of space to stretch into. The living room provided a perfect conversation pit. Wonderful view of the lake! Our host we're very communicative. We will definitely be back!

Cozy, Beautifully Decorated, Extremely Well Supplied and Immaculately Clean

  • 5 of 5

A group of seven women and one man (I know, right?) stayed here the nights of 1-20-17 and 1-21-17. The circular driveway easily accommodated four cars. We gained access according to owners' instructions with no problems. The house is so beautifully decorated and really makes it feel like home. Although we all brought everything we needed, the house was so generously supplied that should anything be forgotten there would be no need to run to the store -- coffee, snacks, shampoos, soaps, etc., etc. We all were very impressed with this. There is more than ample space for meals - two tables and counter seating. There are a lot of games and movies as well as a very neat popcorn maker. The porches (upper and lower level) were great and had hammock chair swings, tables, a bench swing, and ceiling fans. The view to the lake is gorgeous and a summer vacation stay would be wonderful. The owners were very prompt to respond to all questions and put in extra effort to return items we had left. We're looking forward to renting this lovely house in the future. ONE NOTE FOR GOING INTO THE SUBDIVISION: Go into the front entrance off Route 3 (Germanna Hwy.). Our GPS took us in the back way (Flat Run Rd. - 601) to a gate that requires a bar-code to get through. If you find yourself at the back entrance, Flat Run Rd. does go on around to Route 3 if you follow it on out. Turn right onto Route 3 and entrance is a little further down on the right.

Wonderful place on the water!

  • 5 of 5

We came from AZ,NY,KS,MD and PA for a celebration weekend and this gorgeous place was a big part of our wonderful memories. All was in order when we arrived--clean, tidy yet very welcoming. The owners were very accommodating with some last minute changes and a pleasure to deal with overall.

The spacious great room was perfect for gathering and sharing meals. The kitchen was well equipped and functional. And the little nooks and downstairs game room were perfect for small groups and alone time. The 13 and 15 year old found the chess set before we even unpacked! The early riser among us loved the sunrises with the mists coming off the water. Perfection!

Enjoyed our stay!

  • 4 of 5

Recently stayed 3 nights at Water Water Everywhere. The house was very nice and extremely well stocked particularly in the kitchen and bathroom (toiletries and toilet paper provided). Linens, bath towels, and swim towels were also provided. We really only had to bring our clothes and personal items. A canoe, kayak, and paddle board were available for use...and we used them all. The family also enjoyed the good selection of puzzles. We relaxed on the hammock, hanging chairs, and outdoor furniture both on the decks and the lakeside patio. Many games of pool were played as well. The beautiful lake views added to our relaxation. The only downside.....even though we pulled the Hokie garden flag out of the shed, wore our Hokie attire, and scattered our Hokie memorabilia around the living room.....the Hokies still lost. Patrick was a pleasure to deal with.
