Family enjoyed this beautiful and spacious home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just got back and we had a wonderful stay at Ed and Amy's beautiful home. We had 9 adults 2 children and two small dogs and we had plenty of room. The layout of the home is just perfect for everyone to have privacy. Amy was a great host!

Gorgeous, comfortable home in Seacrest!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful vacation with our extended family of 12 (plus our "grand-dog") at Ed and Amy's beautiful home in Seacrest. Perfect location for visiting the quaint seaside towns along 30A. We had wonderful meals at Great Southern, Stinky's Fish Camp, Shades, Donut Hole, Red Bar, and even used the grill to cook the fish we caught on a deep fishing excursion from Captain Anderson's Marina. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Loved walking to the beach and pool, and used the convenient tram service when we had a lot to carry - it was nice that beach chairs and boogie boards were available for us to borrow. Also used the chair service on the beach (Sea Oats) for a few days, which was great. Can't say enough about this beautiful area and Ed and Amy's gracious hospitality. We can't wait to return there!

Three generations can enjoy the "Atlantis"

  • 5 of 5

Our family of ten ( three generations) enjoyed a week at the beautiful and comfortable home, "Atlantis" recently. The location could not have been better - near the lagoon pool, a short walk or bike ride to shopping and restaurants, an easy shuttle or walk to the beach. We love the Seacrest community, and Ed & Amy were right next door and very attentive to their renters. Enjoying a nap on the upstairs porch swing/bed during a shower of rain was an unexpected pleasure!

Wonderful vacation week!

  • 5 of 5

This beach home was more than we expected. Plenty of room, very comfortable and conveniently located to everything. We loved the community and the beach tram was great as were the drivers. The pool is a short walk away as was Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach. We also walked back and forth from the beach when we didn't have a lot to carry. Ed and Amy were gracious hosts and very kind. This is a wonderful, relaxing home and we would definitely stay again.

Wonderful home, great location and gracious hosts

  • 5 of 5

My family just returned from Spring Break in Seacrest and are so thankful and happy we chose to stay at this lovely home owned by Amy and Ed Brown. The home was exactly what we were hoping it would be. It was plenty big for our crew of 9 which included my wife and I, our three kids, 3 grandparents and our dog Gus. The home is warm, clean and conveniently located to almost everything you will need. The kids (ages 11, 9 and 9) loved being able to ride their bikes everywhere with our without parental supervision. The beach is about a 6 minute walk away (free tram gets you there in 2 minutes) and the pool is literally right around the corner. We enjoyed the simple things everyday like walking to get coffee in Rosemary Beach area, riding bikes to Alys Beach and hiking the nature trails. But, our most favorite thing of all was just hanging at the house enjoying the common living area on the second floor and the outside porch swing which is so comfortable and peaceful. It was also wonderful to have the owners (Amy and Ed) close by and available whenever we needed a recommendation or helping hand. Such gracious hosts.

Couple final things: 1) go try the Havana restaurant at the Pearl Hotel in Rosemary. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary dinner there and had an incredible experience. 2) if you need fresh seafood to cook at home, Goat Feathers is the best for shrimp, tuna, etc and is about a 10 minute scenic drive up 30A. Some of our best (and most affordable) meals were enjoyed at home with fresh steamed shrimp and fish from Goat Feathers.

Thanks again to Amy and Ed for allowing our family to spend time in their wonderful rental property. It was everything we hoped it would be and we will most definitely return again soon.

Beautiful home in excellent location.

  • 5 of 5

We were very fortunate to have found such a wonderful home for members of our family to gather in over Christmas break. Great floor plan, ample space, tastefully decorated. Everyone enjoyed the daybed porch swing, the house's proximity to the pool and beach and the walking/biking community. The owners, Amy and Ed, are a delightful couple who provided us with great local info. Would highly recommend this home to anyone vacationing in the area.

Scenic Highway 30-A is a 28.5 mile corridor that hugs the Gulf of Mexico coastline in Northwest Florida’s Walton County. This stretch of highway is designated an official scenic byway by the State of Florida DOT and is definitely worth a trip to experience this coastal road that meanders through more than a dozen diverse beach neighborhoods. Along this breath-taking drive you will see sugar-white sand beaches and some very rare coastal dune lakes. Scenic Highway 30-A is a tourist attraction of major proportions, exploring is a must. Whether you’re on foot, on bike or in the car, here’s our top 5 “must-see” things to do along 30A:

Visit any of the varied eateries in Seacrest Village and adjacent Rosemary Beach (just a quick walk away) – Pick from tapas at La Crema, some of the best Mexican at La Cocina, Cajun and Creole or Cuban at Havana Beach Bar and Grill, breakfast or lunch at Summer Kitchen, ice cream and goodies for the kids at The Sugar Shack, or many other options.

Visit the Red Bar in Grayton Beach– This famous restaurant and watering hole in Grayton Beach is housed in what was once the town’s general store in the early 1900’s. Today, the kitschy bar/restaurant is popular among locals and visitors alike. Stop in to check out the Red Bar's funky décor and grab a cold beverage or bite to eat. In the evening, the Red Bar Jazz Band plays funky old-time jazz and blues.

Take a Hike at Grayton Beach State Park– Grayton Beach State Park is one of several parks nestled along our sugar white sand beaches. At the far west end of the main parking area, you’ll find a trail head that leads through the spectacular dune system that is not only scenic but home to many indigenous species. The trail leads through the dunes and along one of the rare coastal dune lakes (Western Lake). Since walking on the dunes is strictly prohibited, this trail provides a unique glimpse from within this special coastal habitat. (Park Entrance Fee: $5/car or $2/bike)

Stand Up Paddle at WaterColor- YOLO, the area’s local stand up paddle board maker and manufacturer, is conveniently located at the WaterColor Marina on Western Lake off Hwy 30A. Stop by and rent boards for an hour or a full or half-day. Paddlers have the option to paddle on Western Lake and continue paddling through Grayton Beach State Park and then out into the Gulf of Mexico. Be sure to wear sunscreen and bring water to stay hydrated on this fun and tranquil paddle.

See Truman’s House in Seaside– Entering Seaside may feel vaguely familiar as this is the town where the Truman Show with Jim Carrey was filmed in 1996. Truman’s home in the movie is located at 31 Natchez Street. While the landscaping looks different, you can still picture Truman greeting his neighbor with “Good Morning, and in case I don’t see you, good afternoon and good night.”

There are many more treasures along Hwy 30A
